If you are looking for a cool non-precious place to get a cup of joe on Dupont look no further. Great and friendly staff — but not too friendly and top of the line well made coffee. I will return

I’m a big fan of Ezra’s Pound & will remain so. Their cappuccino is the best and I mean it. I love my coffee and I’ve tried many places with decent coffee but my main coffee go to place is Ezra’s Pound. Their coffee is bold, smooth & full bodied without the bitter aftertaste you normally get from an over roasted beans. My friend refuse to buy cappuccino at Ezra’s because the slow drip coffee there is too good the spoil it with milk. Cappuccino hands down for me. They also have some yummy treat to suit all palate & dietary needs Set up is very rustic & quaint with antique décor, very laid back vibe. You will find moms with babies & strollers, people on their laptop enjoying their cups with the sun streaming in on a nice sunny day. I’m usually rushing, wish I had more time to sit and enjoy my cup. Good to know: they close at 4.30 pm, that’s my only peeve here. Just have to go there before closing time

Even with the best tasting coffee in the world, served mildly hot, twice, just doesn’t cut it. My latte arrived warm enough to put my index finger in quite comfortably. Our party of three all returned their warmish lattes asking the server for a nice hot cuppa. They were re-made immediately, without much enthusiasm BUT at the same tepid temperature! How unfortunate… but we drank them anyway. We had a time restraint. What a way to spoil a delicious, smooth, organic coffee at a recommended coffee shop. Oh well!

Just a note to start with– there’s a big step in and the space on that step is really tiny against the door so it’s not wheelchair accessible and it would be tricky to get a stroller in. The place has a cool vibe. To me it’s like a simple, hipster, Vermontish vibe. The small shop was full of patrons at little tables talking or on their computers. The staff were quite nice and friendly. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was really plain and really hot so I’m not a huge fan. Don’t think I’ll be a regular however I’d encourage coffee-drinkers to try it.

I love Ezra’s pound. The coffee is one of the best in the city. I only have two objections: 1) they cover the outlets at the dupont location with stickers so you can’t charge any of your electronics, 2) I often find that my very expensive lattes(a large is $ 5.15!) are not filled to the top but rather have a couple of inches of emptiness. It’s not like I can pay less for what’s missing! Otherwise, excellent.

Went here the other day to do some work in a café, because clearly I can’t be anywhere near my TV or fridge if I need to get work done. I’d have to say this might be my new favourite coffee shop! Really nice staff and enough seating for the size of the place. I would say get here earlier if you’re looking for a table though because the place was packed at 11 when I got there. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, the kind of thing you’d expect from a mid-range hipster café. I got an americano as I always do with new places. I feel like the true test to see if a coffee shop is good is to test their americanos. And well they totally passed, so yay! I also got their caramel crunch bar and it was pretty good. I just don’t recommend getting it as your breakfast as I did because it was really sweet. As you can tell from this review I recommend you hit this place up if you’re looking for coffee at Dupont and Spadina.

Stopped in yesterday on a whim and so so glad I did. Although I got a coffee to go(which was so rich and delicious) the atmosphere is something I always look for in a coffee shop. Cozy, a little something off the wall and friendly staff. Wish I had more time to stay and enjoy the atmosphere but will be stopping back in soon.

Down the street from my office and a daily staple — my favourite americano along Dupont St, and the pour over is very well done too(but does take a while to make though). The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is always good with great music. Highly recommended!

mediocre coffee at best. over priced. and the staff are under the delusion that they are actually cool working at a coffee shop. they hardly talked to me while i ordered my coffee and the guy gave me such a weird look while i was ordering. after most customers left the store, and it was just me and my mom in the store(it was around 2pm), they started playing the music so loud I could barely hear my mom. Get over yourselves guys, its just coffee, and no cup of mediocre coffee should cost 5 dollars.

Great little place I found right next to my Casa Loma trip. Fantastic sting coffee, full of bold robust flavours. I had the cold brew which was absolutely perfect for the hot day outside. I loved the ambiance of the place, rustic? Friendly and awesome service! All in all a great find.

The coffee at Ezra’s is in a league of its own. No matter what type of beverage you order the quality is of the highest caliber and full of flavour. Their coffee tastes what coffee should taste like! Not only that but the staff are fairly friendly, the atmosphere is lovely and they offer delicious food. I love their little sandwiches on baguette or the blueberry scone. This is always a place I take friends from out of town to catch up.

Nice strong coffee, great atmosphere, I liked that it was open and instead of having the AC you could enjoy fresh natural air. We has cappuccinos and were great. I had a chocolate chip cookies that it was too salty, like really salty, I understand putting some salt on desserts and I like that, but this cookie was salty. The washroom was dirty and I’m usually not picky BUT there was blood(I know, ewww) on the toilet and on the floor. Other than those two things, it was great.

I love this place! Ezra’s is the perfect neighborhood coffee shop. It’s cute, quirky, and accessible to the local dwellers. I’ve had the butter croissant, the chocolate sea salt cookie… and oh, the baguette/preserves is lovely! The granola & yogurt is a perfectly healthy and delicious weekend breakfast. Although I always opt for tea, my partner can attest that they make a good espresso. The only downside is that it gets really busy on weekend morning’s and it’s hard to get a seat. But if you can nab a spot… good on you. They have great-sounding lunch items, although I’ve never tried one yet. Definitely worth a visit.

Great coffee, great atmosphere. Delicious baked goods and comfy seats for studying. A must-visit for any Torontonian student living in the Dupont/Spadina area. Very talented latte art too — almost too pretty to drink!

The coffee is good and the staff are very friendly. I usually get my coffee to go so I don’t really factor in the atmosphere into my review, its a bit on the small side. They do breakfast such as yogurt and granola and usually have a selection of pastries. I like getting the toasted baguette and cream cheese. Everything I have ever had here has been fresh so you can’t really go wrong.

This is one of my fave coffee shops in toronto. It is quite small, so it may be hard to find seating but it is great for a grab and go cup of coffee. The interior décor is quite cozy, warm ad inviting. I love the regular brew here. When I get a bag of coffee beans from there it never lasts long because I get through it very quickly.

My favorite ice latte in all of Toronto. Not sure what it is but the coffee bitterness plus skim milk is an epic combination! Typically has seating available and if you can score one near the window it’s even better! I like this location cause there is not that much traffic so I can park my car and quickly run in for a caffiene fix!

I love this place. Great coffee and the fact that they use Harmony Milk really pleases me. Since they are fairly expensive, I go here whenever I crave a really good coffee… my coffee beverage of choice is a double americano… and they are so good I only need to add milk. Usually I’d have it with honey, but that’s not really needed with Ezra’s beans. The staff are top notch too! Super cool! :) Definitely the americano to beat! :)

Ezra’s Pound has attentive staff, good espresso and a cozy atmosphere. When I went in, the Wifi didn’t work but everything else made up for it. The space is small and doesn’t offer much seating(can probably seat 20 people, maximum). Most people stayed for less than a half hour anyway. In the 45 minutes I was there, I saw two different girls get picked up. One of them even gave out her number, so if you’re looking to find a coffee-drinking date, this might be the place. There are a lot of single(–looking) people here. The line was«so you like coffee?» I ordered a cortado and it was around the same price I’d pay for the same drink anywhere else in the city, if not cheaper. The espresso was smooth and the milk art was unpretentious, but clean. The upbeat music added character to an otherwise tryhard vintagey décor. The staff seemed to have unstrained relationships with each other and divided most work equally. Unfortunately as I left and waited to cross the road, a woman criticized me for visiting the café, shouting«You just ordered one coffee?!» I don’t know if she had been watching or if she had been employed by Ezra’s to weed away seat-leeches like me who linger over coffee beverages and take up precious table space. I hope not. Before I could react to her accusation(I also had a muffin), she shuffled away to the nearby LCBO.

Ezra’s Pound is alright. For those looking for a place that is a bit more unique and expensive, while not being Starbucks, this is it. Service is friendly and slow at times, but not friendly or slow enough that those qualities stand out. The place can get crowded throughout the day. Like all coffee shops there are people who make this place their 9 – 5 office, so seating can be tough at times. The coffee is quite good. They have espressos, americanos, lattes, etc., all of which are worth trying. In the mornings, try a chocolate pastry or a lemon scone with a cup of coffee. The baked goods are excellent.
