Horrible experience here with the service. Once they take your money it is all over. 9 weeks later and I am still waiting for a couch and bed ordered here. And of course the salesperson(Johnny) was responsive until he recieved the order and our credit card info — now the silence is deafening. No response to emails nor any communication from EQ3 in over 9 weeks despite our being told to expect delivery(which we paid for) in 6 weeks. According to their call centre the merchandise is sitting in the factory and the call centre employee didn’t’t know why it hasn’t been sent to us. We were promised a $ 200 credit for the inconvenience but of course that was never processed. All in all, avoid this store — once they have your money service goes out the window.

EQ3. Where minimalism, modernism and made in Canada collide. I’m writing this review from my teak EQ3 bed, and I’m very cozy. Admittedly, it was actually purchased from the east end location, but lately I’ve been popping in the Liberty Village store quite often, and I prefer it. If you can afford more than Ikea but aren’t super rich, EQ3 is for you. The two floor show room is filled with inspiration for purchases and purges alike, and it’s a great place to ponder your space, and find those shelves you’ve been pining after.

This is the 2ndEQ3 store that I’ve shopped in. Pretty nice, spacious, well-lit, well-kept. Service is prompt, useful. And, bonus, toddler-friendly. We’re trying to upgrade the look of our living space, and EQ3 has a line of pet-friendly materials — called«Urban» xx. Given that we have two furry animals at home, we needed and were willing to pay extra for proven and easy to care for quality. Years ago, I bought a lounge«chaise» from their King st. To this day, the foam is still firm, not lumpy in the least, and still looks nice overall. It’s been easy to spot clean. Our cat isn’t interested in clawing at the fabric! We sought the same fabric out, and have now ordered a matching sofa. SO looking forward to its arrival! We could have switched fabrics, to one that was more durable, but hey — if this other fabric has already lasted years, feels soft to the touch, and is one that we’re pretty satisfied with, we weren’t interested in trying anything that wasn’t appealing. The only downside, is the cost. Items at EQ3 are considerably more expensive than, say, Ikea or even department store prices. You’re paying for a modern, classy style, however. And you’re investing in a long term item, rather than a trendy cheapo item. Depends on what your needs are. I had approached Iliona(sp?) for help, since she was the one closest to me, and she ended up staying to help us one on one for the duration of our semi-long visit. She brought various swatches for us to consider, and made the visit more personable, enjoyable. There’s another 2 women there, who stopped by to socialize with our toddler. Quite nice to have done that, on their part. The furniture will be assembled in Canada. Not sure if everything is made locally. We’re looking forward to enjoying this new sofa, easily for the next decade plus!

This chain of stores are a gem if you like modern furniture. The furniture that I have bought from this company lasts a lot longer than the more popular and larger Swedish retailer it is built quite well IMO. This branch is one the bigger one’s for EQ3 I have visited, The setup is just gorgeous. Nice open feel with plenty of sun light highlighting the items displayed here. Main floor is mainly dedicated to housewares and some neat items while the second floor stocks the furniture. Lot of items are from Europe so if that style of furnishing is to your liking by all means visit this place. One can easily spend a lot of time here just browsing items and getting design ideas. Downside is the lack of staff as they were a bit hard to come by though even if one is looking for em. 3.5 Stars.

Haven’t bought anything here yet. I’ve shopped/browsed various EQ3 locations over the years, but last week I made my first visit to the Liberty Village location. Hubby and I were contemplating desk chairs, and a sales assistant came over and offered us help. We were probably a little stand-offish at first, presuming she was just like every other sales staff at every other retail store. But after we asked her a few questions, we realized she was actually quite knowledgeable about the products, and had some great tips about how to choose features, styles, fits, etc. We were pleasantly surprised by the help we received. It’s so nice to see that some people actually do care about their jobs! I believe her name was Lindsay? Thanks Lindsay! We’ll be back soon to make a purchase I hope. Lots of cool furniture and accessories. Wide range of prices, but most are higher priced rather than lower priced. Oh, and they carry Herman Miller products!
