What a gorgeous and unique spot for a wedding reception!
There are three rooms in this place… one room that is put together like the original schoolhouse, complete with old school desks and chairs (which are connected, so wear underpants, ladies, if you plan to get in and out of these), a middle room where the bar was situated, and a large room with vaulted ceilings that I can only imagine used to be the church. Just beautiful.
It’s great that the schoolroom provided ample seating during the cocktail reception (usually you’re standing around, trying to balance hor d’oeuvres in one hand and a glass of wine in another) and a respite from the loud raucousness of the wedding reception, should you need it.
The bathrooms were clean and somehow managed to never get jammed up with people.
If you’re holding an event for about 100 people or so, this is a GREAT place to have it.
