Beautiful store, very inspiring. I found the prices to be on the ultra high-end side. I love how the showroom is just gigantic so whatever I could imagine my ideal interior to be, I could probably find it here if it is within the ‘Elte’ aesthetic. I think Elte aims to stock contemporary furniture that is luxurious with design that is accessible and universally appealing. Like what you’d find in Erin Lauder or Reese Witherspoon’s house. Timeless classics that can be passed on from generation to generation. Their rug collection is one of the largest selections I’ve seen and they dedicated a good chunk of their showroom to display some beautiful pieces. Due to this, there are only a few items that are ‘extremely unique’ ‘trendy’ pieces with a punch. For those I would have to recommend smaller boutiques like Carrocel.

ELTE might just be the most beautiful furniture store in Toronto. I’ve never been so consistently impressed by the range and quality available. Furniture and décor is arranged by style and brand(I think this is the only place you can buy Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams products in Toronto), and there’s so much to take in. It’s a highly sensory experience. Prepare to be inspired(and envious of those with bigger budgets)! We were directly approached by a salesperson toward the end of our two-hour visit, which was just fine with me. I prefer to look around and take things in at first — the massive scale of this place almost demands a preliminary visit! That said, I interacted with four remarkable salespeople here — each time I had a question, they led me directly to the relevant area of the store without any pressure whatsoever. When I asked for directions to ELTE Market, they even gave me walking directions down the nearby bike path so I wouldn’t need to take a longer walk along the busy street. ELTE isn’t cheap, but this entire business district seems to cater to $$$(note the lack of public transit nearby), so they aren’t exceptional in that regard. The difference is that the range of products here is decidedly more attractive than the furniture I’ve seen carried by a few other high-end places. If I’m going to splurge or invest in something I love, it’s going to be at ELTE.

Too much to take in on one trip. Amazing ideas. I dropped in for a quick look and stayed for over an hour and then I had to pull myself out. Looking forward to going back.

Elte’s products are nice, but their service has got to be one of the worst. We purchased a dining room set from them, on January 27… and it is now June 13, and we have yet to receive the entire order. When we made the purchase, they told us that everything will be here in 6 to 8 weeks. I called them at around the 8 week timeframe, and they told me that the chairs for the dining room set are not in, but there was no indication as to when the chairs will be in. I called them pretty much every couple weeks, and they finally told me in April that everything will be in by mid-May. It is now mid-June, and we are still 4 chairs short. They kept telling me it’s the manufacturer’s delay, but I do not care at this point as Elte — being a high-end store — should: 1. Be able to manage its supply chain 2. Have an idea as to how long it really takes to get the shipment in; and 3. Have the courtesy to tell its customers the TRUTH! I will never purchase from ELTE again, and I would hope no one else would fall victims to these arrogant liars!!!

This is a beautiful furnature store but certainly for those wanting only the best money can buy. the style is very specific and will not appel to the masses but it is fun to wander the store and get inspiration for your next redecoration project.

Their furniture is very good, they service seems good, but their follow through is terrible! We purchase a table and chairs from them; the chairs were available right away but the table would take 8 – 12 weeks. Not being in a rush we made the purchase. Chair delivery: they had to come 4 times to get the chair correct. The first two times the 2 chair were of poor quality(wobbled); the third/forth times one of the chairs had a huge scratch. The people who did the drop-off and pick up were super nice. Table delivery: our table was suppose to show up two weeks ago. The delivery date goes by and nothing; two more days… still nothing. After leaving 3 messages I finally get a call back. I am told by our sale rep Darlene: «The table is going to take up to another 3 weeks». No applogies… nothing…the wouldn’t even give me a firm date for delivery. Finally, I told them we needed a firm date and guess what… it is the full three weeks away and they still didn’t give us a delivery date! As the saga continues, they have still not called me back(but they promised twice) and they don’t respond to any emails, even on started by their own employee. Our table it now 3 months late, with not potential delivery date and it has been 6 months since we ordered it. Very unprofessional. For the prices they charge, I won’t be going back here again.

ELTE(pronounced«el-tay») is a high-end home furnishing warehouse, that looms over all the other contenders on ‘Designer’s row’. The collection of furniture is extensive and customer service is fairly good, although I have, at times, struggled to find someone to help me just because the place is so massive. Inside, top-of-the-line living-room and bedroom furnishings abound. You won’t find those hideous matchy-matchy wooden bedroom sets you see advertised on TV and in the weekly flyers here. That’s because ELTE is the antithesis of Leon’s and The Brick. There’s a plethora of high quality rugs and carpeting. I had some custom runners made here for my kitchen. They were having a sale on that kind of carpeting so I was able to get them at a discount. It took about a week for them to complete the job and I’m happy with the look and quality, plus it’s an ease on the feet and back while working in the kitchen. ELTE is the go-to shop for most interior designers in Toronto, including all the big names. There’s a small café in the back of the store that serves coffee, sandwiches and sometimes cupcakes just incase you end up staying for hours and get hungry. Hot Tip: Sign up for their mailing list if you want to be notified about their very rare sales.
