Finally got a chance to visit this place and calling it «charming» almost doesn’t do it justice. Such a great assortment of cooking and kitchen related books and products. Even had some cool old finds like a thick book on how to be a proper 19th century housewife. Was tempted to pick it up! Besides the books, they have a cool assortment of kitchen related gadgets that are reasonably priced, especially for a boutique store of this type.

This lovely, expertly curated shop makes Baby Point Gates a destination for me. It weaves together two of my favourite things: books and kitchenware. It’s so hard to leave this place without buying anything; vintage treasures share shelves with contemporary cookbooks and beautifully designed modern gadgets. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful to boot.

A lovely kitchen store that has the real essentials without all the modern shine. A great source for many hard to find items. They get quality and local products. A wonderful place for gifts for all members of the family. Hostess gifts too. A great addition to the Baby Point Gates community. Always worth stopping by to browse and enjoy. Very friendly.

A funny, retro, entirely charming take on the art, science and heart of cooking. The main feature is a library of vintage cookbooks, many of them classics well out of print, certainly offline. Cheery, light-filled, and located in the Baby Point neighborhood of Toronto Eat Your Words is also filled to the ceiling with classic cookware from the fifties right to the present: a trove of kitchen history.

Eat your Words is just lovely — it’s got a retro, vintage vibe and is full of great new and used cookbooks, great cookware and fun cooking related items. The gals that run it are personable and make you feel right at home in their shop. I’m so excited this shop is in my neighbourhood, and although it will never replace my love of the cookbook store, it will surely satisfy my local cookbook buying needs(which are plentiful).
