Due West

Honestly, this was one of the worst shopping experiences of my entire life. The employees were extremely rude and treated me horribly. They made snarky comments about how I didn’t need a new coat and much more. When I returned with a bunch of friends, since I now had a huge store credit, the sales associate wouldn’t even pull a coat for me to try on since he said, «I tried it on the day before». I then told him that I wanted to try it on for my friends so I could get their opinion on the coat. The sales associate then walked away. Talk about rude!
I just spent over $ 1000 in their store and they just walk away? Are you kidding me?
Luckily I had three amazing friends with me who helped me pull and try on as many coats as possible to find one that would be a decent fit for the cold winter months ahead.
This store would not give me a refund. Any other store would have given me a refund or purchased the coat I wanted in the bigger size. I couldn’t believe the snarky comments coming out of the employees mouths. My friends were flabbergasted at the attitude the employees were spitting out at us.
I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!! I rather go to a store like Holt Renfrew or Mendocino where they do what needs to be done to make the customer happy. Holt Renfrew will fix products that need mending and their customer service is way better. Mendocino would have ordered me the coat in the larger size in a heartbeat.
This store was so nice to me when I spent over $ 1000 here but as soon as I wanted to make an exchange or get a refund they couldn’t care less.

I learnt my lesson about buying a big ticket item at a mom and pop shop. I will never make this mistake again. It’s a shame because I’m sure there are great mom and pop shops where they care about their customers but this store DOES NOT CARE about anyone except their check book.

I was interested in purchasing a watch from Due West but it wasn’t listed online, though the brand was. I emailed to ask if they would order it in for me, and it turned out that it was already in stock — a listing online was made and sent to me SO quickly!
When I went to purchase the watch I called the gentleman who had emailed me to ask about shipping (and insurance) and he offered to expedite the package for me for free. Such wonderful customer service — can’t wait for the package to arrive!

I bought a nice G Star Raw full length coat here awhile back before dressing like a brainwashed clone in the winter became so popular in Toronto.
The service was alright and the coat was marked up quite a bit ($ 450) but it’s an extremely good quality, down-​free coat that got me through –30 weather in university. Yes, down-​free and no fur or faux trim on it.
At the time, I wasn’t aware of the other brands this store sells, but now I’m all too aware of their lack integrity selling fur fashion coats from greedy unethical brands like Canada Goose.
I don’t shop at stores that sell fur and live-​plucked down and market these products to dupe consumers into thinking its humane and sustainable.
Does everyone buying these huge coats really believe they’re some type of arctic explorer out on the uncharted TTC? They need to stop manspreading their puffy coats and gnarly fur trim in everyone’s faces. It’s disgusting.
Won’t be shopping here again until they develop some standards.

Wish I could give this place 1,000 stars. AWESOME customer service. I was on the hunt for a Canadian brand jacket and found they had the best prices. I made the purchase but found out shortly after that they’re unable to ship it to the US (due to a specific customs issue with the fur hood, not their fault). I called Olivia and she helped me through the entire process. She even agreed to put my item on the side (it was on sale, I didn’t want it to sell out) until I figured everything out. VERY accommodating, sweet, and professional. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. Great selection, great prices.

Heaven-​sent. Much better than the ones from Hunter (now made in China /​Indonesia, and frankly, feel like crap).
They’re softer (made of vulcanized rubber), and only just a BIT more expensive than Hunters (especially for being made in France and not some Third World country).
Come. HERE.
I also like their jewellery and other things, but I already shopped a lot that day so I was purposefully beelining in on those rainboots and ignoring the rest of their things.
Maybe another day, when my credit card has had a break.

I recently moved to Toronto from Halifax, where winters are way milder than in Ontario. So I looked up some places near my office to find a jacket. Went down to the Due West Canada Goose room (coolest thing ever!) and was greeted by a very friendly girl. She helped me pick out the best size and jacket that I loved. Really enjoyed shopping here. They have a wide range of outerwear, if you’re not into CC, so I recommend checking their site or going to the store. You won’t be disappointed!

I had a great experience buying a pair of jeans here! Staff were great! Helpful when you wanted, otherwise they did not interfere. (I tend to take my time when making a purchase).They even let me put a pair of jeans on hold for a few hours that were on sale. I would recommend this store first, over Body Blue any day!

Jeans jeans jeans, selection is ok but I never see the good stuff go on sale, they don’t sell d and g anymore but have recently started carrying y3. I’ve been downstairs to the clearance section but didn’t find anything good. All in all tho, still one of the better brand name clothing stores on queen west

I love you non pushy Canadian sales reps. This boutique is TINY and EXPENSIVE, well worth it imho. Like the previous review stated, check the sales racks, they’re practically giving it away. They have a fairly decent selection of Diesel and G-​Star if you’re into that sort of thing.

You have to go downstairs for the clearance. If it’s chained off, make someone open it for you. They have things marked down so low, it’s kind of impossible to leave empty handed. Really nice staff too!

I’m not sure about the leather goods tag because I haven’t seen anything other than belts on sale but I do recall this place being filled with cowboy boots and leather jackets years and years ago. Now you will find all sorts of pricey goodies from top to toe.
If you have a soft spot for things like Evisu, True Religion, *shudder* Diesel and the like, then this place will appeal to you. They have jeans, jeans and more jeans, dress shirts, Nixon watches and shoes.
The staff are pretty laid back and that might be confused for standoffish but I found once you get them talking they open right up and are super friendly and helpful.
I honestly only shop for one brand here and I’m not telling what.
