I had a couple rings kicking around the house that I’ve been meaning to get rid of. Thought I would try out one of these cash for gold type places and see what they would offer. One ring was 10k gold, the other titanium. I’m not sure if the woman helping me did understand what I was saying or if it was a language barrier, but the whole transaction was weird. She took the rings and had a look. When she looked at the titanium ring she mumbled something about not being able to find a stamp on the inside and that she would assume it was 10k gold. I corrected her but she ignored me. She threw the rings on a scale together then pulled out a calculator. She came up with a price of $ 135. I said thanks but no-thanks and went to leave. She then called over another guy who had a look. He threw the titanium ring back at me saying there’s nothing he can do with it, which is understandable. He then looked at the gold ring and came back with a price of $ 95. That was good enough for me and took the cash. The woman who was originally helping me said that she didn’t know why he was giving me that price and mumbled something to the guy in another language. These guys need to get their crap together.
