I had a great experience at Diva Boutique looking for my wedding dress. I made an appointment easily by calling the store and they had good availability to fit me in on a Sunday at my chosen time. Going into the store I was a little unsure, but I was welcomed by very friendly staff and taken upstairs to where they keep all of the bridal gowns. The store was immaculate and a lot of the dresses are displayed on manikins which helped me to point out the styles I liked. I was asked about my likes and dislikes and I explained that I had already found a dress that I liked in another store and was looking to see if I could beat it. I showed the staff a picture and they actually stocked that dress. I went into the fitting room,(which was huge and private) unlike a lot of other stores I visited and I was helped to try on a few dresses. I was glad that they helped me get in the dresses as a lot of them where quite big and difficult to step into. The lady listened to what I liked and didn’t like about each one and brought in new dresses for me to try based on my feedback. Once I was in each dress she opened the fitting room doors so that I could show my mum once I was fully in the dress. In a lot of other stores I found myself standing in the middle of the store in front of other customers as they clipped me in. I never felt rushed or under any pressure, but I kept comparing everything to the dress I had seen in another store, so they brought me this one to try on at the end. They let me spend quite a considerable amount of time in the dress to walk about, sit down and make my mind up in my own time that it was the dress for me. I decided to purchase it from Diva because the staff were very friendly, helpful and dedicated. I will be going for my fitting in a few weeks and will update on my experience then.

This boutique has breathtaking dresses and one of the associates Jasmine is so sweet, but I wouldn’t recommend it for those who want value for their money. In general, be careful about what your dress is really made of. What some say is satin may in fact be polyester. I love my dress and I looked great but was it worth the money? Looking back… No. In regards to Diva in particular, I found most of the associates brisk and unapproachable. They were frank and answered questions when prompted but there was no genuine care about the best interests of the customers. They evaded questions about brand names and details of dresses because they don’t want you to find it elsewhere and get a better price. Also no pictures allowed unless you pay a deposit. I’d steer clear of bridal stores and opt for customization from seamstress or buy one for a good cause at The Brides Project.

If I could give negative stars to this place — I definitely would. After being treated horribly in the store yesterday and then receiving an awful email response to the concerns I raised today, I had to share. I mistakenly booked an appointment online and didn’t notice that appointments were for brides only(I’m a mother of the groom!) but I was shocked by how rude they were from the moment they and I realized my mistake. I sent the following comments to them later that day: «Your service was terrible and I will be sure to let everyone I know about my experience. You website should ask what type of appointment is requested and you should not be rude to prospective customers.» Their response: «Our website in several pages, as well as our on-line appointment booking form which you filled clearly specify that appointments are booked for Wedding Gown Consultations ONLY! The booking form asked repeatedly if your tried in Wedding Gowns. Mother gowns are NOT wedding gowns. In fact, we specifically state that there are NO appointment for Mothers dress shopping, it’s on walk-in basis, also on the same form that you filled out. You walked in at a time when the boutique was very busy, all staff were occupied serving other customers who walked in before you. We asked that you browse through our collections while you wait. Instead of waiting to be served, you served yourself. We didn’t even get a chance to serve you?!» WOW — what great customer service! An unbelievable sarcastic and just rude response to my mistake. At no point did anyone indicate that I would be assisted at all, they simply said we should look around. At EVERY opportunity they were rude, even as I used a fitting room, one of the staff members greeted me outside the door telling me that the fitting room was closed? Apparently I was supposed to know to use another fitting room?! Needless to say, we couldn’t get out fast enough, walked a short way east on St Clair and found an awesome bridal boutique who were happy to assist. DONOTGOTODIVABOUTIQUE but I would VERY highly recommend Jolie Bridal just down the street. EVERYONE was wonderful, especially Fiorella! I even met an actual bride at Jolie who had been treated terribly at Diva that same morning. Not sure how they stay in business, especially looking at the other reviews!

My experience with Diva Boutique has been great. I had very little time to find my wedding dress(less than two months) and they were eager to take on the challenge. I tried on a few dresses by myself and found one that I really liked but was still unsure, so they suggested that I return with some family/friends to have a second opinion. During both visits, Bruna, the consultant was great, she was very patient with me and helped me to find my beautiful dress. I was treated very kindly throughout the process and was not pressured at all into making any quick decisions.

I had a very pleasant experience at Diva and bought my wedding dress from them within the first visit. Jasmine was very attentive and focused her energies on working directly with me through the number of dresses I tried on. She provided honest and helpful feedback and made the experience very enjoyable. The store provides a great selection of dresses and I liked the fact that what they have online, is what they carry in the store — avoiding unnecessary disappointments which I experienced at several other boutiques. Compared to other bridal boutiques, this is definitely not the prettiest or best laid out, but they have a good selection.

My experience at Diva Boutique was nothing short of TERRIBLE! In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever had such poor customer service anywhere. I decided to take my Maid of Honour to Diva to look for an evening gown to wear for my wedding. As we walked in the appearance of the place was a little dark and crowded. In most dress stores, especially ones where you’re spending $ 500 plus on a dress, you are usually greeted at the door and the organization of the store is explained to you. Here it seems like no one even noticed we had walked in even though there were only one other group of customers. No one greeted us and when we approached one of the customer service reps to ask about sizes, styles, and how long it would take to order a dress she was nothing short of absolutely rude. Anyways despite having a terrible initial encounter we still saw some interesting dresses that my MOH wanted to try on. Every time we picked up a dress the rude sales woman ripped it out of our hands and said«that will not fit her». Most evening gown stores only carry certain sizes in each of the dresses and they have ways of clipping it at the back so you can get an idea of how it looks to decide if you want to order it. After having three dresses ripped out of our hands and not having the sale woman even try and suggest alternative dresses we got the pictures. Diva boutique apparently didn’t want our sale. We then ventured north on Avenue Road and had a wonderful experience at the dress stores there. Skip Diva Boutique. They were rude and unhelpful. They almost turned a very exciting fun day out into a complete mess, luckily there are other stores in Toronto that made up for Diva’s terrible and rude customer service and we were able to get over it. Take it from me, don’t waste your time here, there are so many other choices in the city.

There is a large collection of dresses here, for weddings and any special occasion(arranged by colour which is very helpful). I tried on 4 dresses and customer service was pretty good in the beginning. But the minute I was serious about 1 dress and started asking more questions,(possible arrival date of the dress and alterations), the turned very defensive on me for some reason. They would not give me a range on alterations at all. It was so frustrating to talk with them about details. They kept saying«we don’t know, we have to wait for the dress to come in». I’m not sure how this place sells any dresses without giving customers any info. I was just expected to pay first and talk later. I left this place very frustrated and stressed. Despite the nice dresses, I don’t think it’s worth your time.
