David’s Alterations

This new alterations place may be located in an upscale neighborhood but it’s high priced real estate doesn’t make up for the lack of substance.
I took a quality cotton suit to David’s for alterations. At first he claimed the sleeves and body were perfect; he needed extensive direction, which was very difficult to give due to the language barrier. My pants needed to be redone for a second time after I picked them up. He is also limited when it comes to detail work like button holes, etc., must not be willing to do the hand work. The sleeves and pants both appear to have been marked on the inside with two-​sided tape and then sewn, this now shows though even more than when I picked it up because of the dry cleaner.
There is no A/​C and it’s extremely hot inside, which makes changing in and out of clothing uncomfortable.
He only accepts cash. For the price he is on par with other «alteration» shops that do better work. Will most definitely not return.
