Really good customer service. The girls were awesome helping with my choice. I knew what I wanted(brand and type) but I couldn’t decide which form was the best for me. One girl helped me for like half and hour. She explained everything I needed to know. I still needed time to think about my decision. After like 15 min I chose one of my 3 options. When I paid I told her about the promotion with Unilocal check in. I tough she was gonna give me ONE sample of lube, but she gave me something around 12 different samples, all different brands and types! I was so happy! I also like the store, it looks modern, clean, and fun. I didn’t feel weird asking and talking about what I wanted to buy and my concerns about every option. They have a lot of toys that you can turn on and see how they work so it’s easier to see and feel in your hands what are you really buying. Definitely going back here! Thanks for the lubes girls!!!

CAYA is the pillar of excellence for sex shops in Toronto! The worker-owners are all warm, knowledgable, and the perfect blend of enthusiastic-chill in their customer service. It’s clear that their priority is genuinely helping customers and getting the right information across, not sales targets. For any sex nerds in Toronto, stopping into CAYA is like winning the lottery; a decadent collection of books, including gender studies, theories, guides, and just oodles of toys to tinker with. I have been to CAYA many times, as a customer and attendant for a couple of workshops, and each experience leaves me elated and all the more knowledgeable. If I could give this place 100/5, I totally would.

Basically, I agree 100% with a previous reviewer: «You’ll be hard pressed to find a better sex shop in Toronto that is competitively priced, carries premium brands, and has such helpful staff.» The staff are wonderful and very helpful. And, a big bonus(at least for me): when you shop at CAYA, you know you are supporting a worker-owned co-operative.

One of the best adult shops in Toronto! It’s near Queen W & Spadina for being such a small space, they have a great selection of toys and DVDs. Including premium brands like Fleshlight and Tenga. They have DVDs both for sale and for rent and have a good selection of titles. The prices are just incredible compared to other shops in Toronto like Stag Shop and Seduction, noticeably lower. Also if you happen to find an even LOWER price in any Canadian sex shop or online store, Come As You Are will price match it! The staff are incredibly helpful, and you can tell that they like to educate and inform rather than just sell, which is refreshing to see. They answered my questions honestly and helped me with what exactly I was looking for. When I paid they were even nice enough to give me free lube samples! Come as You Are bills discreetly, your credit card statement will just say«CAYA Co-Operative». Which is perfect nothing that indicates that it is an adult shop. They will even wrap everything in plain brown wrapping paper, and pack it in a plain brown bag again completely discreet and something that the other sex shops don’t do. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better sex shop in Toronto that is competitively priced, carries premium brands, and has such helpful staff. I’d definitely come again to Come As You Are!

I have been coming here(visiting, I mean) to buy my stuff for a few years. Always comfortable even for a guy, and the staff is very helpful with helping a guy find what he needs. Good selection of products. Much easier to shop for sex related products than the other stores.

Absolutely phenomenal customer service in a very well laid out store. I would definitely recommend this shop for the shy or inexperienced wanting to know more. I’ve never been treated better and given more information anywhere else. On both visits, the staff did not wait for me to come to them with my questions. They happily started a conversation with me and showed me some awesome stuff. They are not pushy or nosy. The more intimidating items are in the back, which is great if you’re a bit shy. My partner and I bought a very vanilla massage book and took a few samples of lube and massage oil(generously offered on the house, your mileage may vary). My friend purchased a few varieties of condoms, nicely offered in a cute Chinese takeout box. It was kind of like a buffet of rubbers. I didn’t find the prices too steep for what was offered. If you’re used to drug store stuff, then yeah I could see that claim. But the prices for each product were on par with other stores and online. I love the information brochures arranged around the place. Yes, I would love to learn more about spanking, haha! I am looking forward to attending at least one workshop but I’m a little shy :)

Come As You Are is an installation in the Queens Street West neighbourhood, and as such, a dingy cavern behind tinted windows would never do. No tiny sign is hiding under an awning and there’s no schlocky name to reel in a certain seedy crowd. Think a bright storefront flooded with natural light, top-quality products from Japan and Germany displayed on sumptuous pedestals, and an open, spacious layout so you aren’t crammed next to another customer while considering purchase of your own personal essentials. CAYA stands by an ethos of informative and consumer-friendly awareness about sex. The approachable staff show great empathy for customers who walk through their doors and do incredible feats on their website, workshops, and community events that mean to diminish the taboos and risky behaviours around sex. The atmosphere promotes asking questions and receiving honest answers, exploring options, and getting comfortable. For many women, in particular, apprehensive in dealing with adult shops, CAYA is a refreshing breath of fresh air. I imagine Sue Johansson would give it her seal of approval, and if it’s good for Canada’s première sex educator, take notice. For one, CAYA’s appeal is the lack of pink, infantilized garbage targeted at women or the junk toys riddled with flawed design that can make them a health hazard in addition to a waste of money. They carry leading brands like BSwish, Germany’s outstanding Fun Factory, and Aneiros, known for bulletproof quality and materials. Think of these toys as the Kitchen-Aid mixers of their industry. The website provides outstanding descriptions in an easy to read format, chockful of all the things you need to be an informed consumer, and I don’t just mean measurements! Hands on demo models allows you to test everything from texture to vibration strength. It’s well encouraged to explore the stock. DVDs, magazines, literature, and a large assortment of accessories are also for sale. It’s a one stop shop that sure beats trawling through the Internet or a dash into a shadier store off a highway exit. I guarantee you they’ve probably heard all your questions before and no one is likely to snicker disparagingly for asking if you can stick something in the dishwasher or need to handwash. And let’s face it, some of those pricey pieces are almost pieces of art, especially anything made of glass or glass-like goodness. You will pay a bit more for their products and certainly more than a sketchy corner shop. This is in part due to the brands they prefer, which command a premium given their warranties, high craftsmanship, and such. To quote Jen W: You get what you pay for. In this case, it’s also a respectful staff who knows their business and commits themselves to every customer who walks through the door and improving the message of healthy, happy sex lives across the country. It’s a message well worthy of support!

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. I’m not someone who visits adult stores often, and there’s always some apprehension involved, but I was very comfortable. The powered products have demo models, so you can get hands on(I highly recommend hands only). My purchase was very good quality for the price. I’ll be back!

A sex shop where women will feel comfortable(and men too — if they are not moronic macho jerks). Check out their workshops. Lots to learn there. Open, informed staff that is not just there to earn a paycheque.

A very helpful, easy going place to go to, to help get your motor going. The prices are a bit steep but these are not your stag shops toys that will break or burn out after while. You get what you pay for and if you can stomach dishing out a good bill or two for a few good vibes go for it!,. A perfect place to go if your a bit shy and want to know more about your body and what makes you smile.

I love Come As You Are… Clean, employees are helpful. Rare to find a place that women and gender queers feel comfortable in. Prices are a bit steep, but well worth it. Every time Im in Toronto I stop by :)

What a fantastic shop. Not intimidating or tacky. Knowledgeable staff, that will answer questions but are not pushy or annoying. Vibrators are out so you can turn them on to see how much they buzz. You can buy single condoms and sample packs of lube. Charming shop.

So, I’d like to think the name of the place says it all, but if not, I won’t be the one to explicitly explain to you what they do here. Really nice setting to purchase your, uh, neccessities, for, ummm, well, you know. And they have a great selection of high quality… err…things to help you relax. So if you are looking for a new … uhh… well … addition to your repertoire, I’d highly suggest coming here since they sell excellent products. They also have very enlightening workshops(or so I’ve heard). Not to be missed if you are on Queen West!

This is the lady sex shop. If Seduction is the mall of sex shops and Love Craft is the couple’s joint, then Come As You Are is the feminist, girl-on-girl spot. This is where you go when you want to pick up text books on the role of sexual thought in female empowerment on the road to finding your g-spot and thus enlightenment. It’s also where you find the best vibrators, at least if you’re the kind of girl that doesn’t need a big ol’ black fist of a dildo to get your groove on. I once took a blow job workshop there with a whole bunch of girlfriends that was actually really fun and informative.
