Gourmet Kitchen is located on the second level of the Colonnade on Bloor St. It has some tables and chair if you’d like to sit and eat there. Most of the people from my building come here to grab lunch because it’s literally a 30 second walk from our office. The food is just OK. The portion sizes are OK and the price is OK. I do love their soup though. They have some really great soups like cream of broccoli, pumpkin soup, leek and potato etc. They switch their soups and specials every day. The mains they normally offer are: curry chicken, bbq thai chicken, chicken parm, beef stroganoff, usually everything is served with rice or potato, and veggies or salad. The staff are super friendly and know most of their clients personally. This place can get quite busy at lunch time and once they run out of something that’s it. They only have back up of a few items but once those are gone there is not much left to choose from, so get there early!

Average breakfast & lunch place. I’ve had sandwiches, pasta, chicken salad, soups and so on and such here but I was never impressed with the foods. But I like the dining space because it is really clean and bright. And it is fairly calm here compared to other restaurants nearby.

Further into my quest for the ideal reasonably priced Yorkville lunch spot, I felt like I found an oasis of quiet lunchtime frugality at the Colonnade Gourmet Kitchen. Of all the«cheap» Yorkville eateries this one by far is the CLEANEST and neatest establishment, which always scores a plus with OCDers like myself. The food is pretty much lunchtime cafeteria quality combos of meat/pasta, rice, or noodle/salad combos, but still pretty palatable and not at all bad for 7 bucks and change. Service was also super-duper pleasant with the cheerful Asian fellow working there biddding me farewell with a «I really, REALLY hope you come back again!» Okay there Mr Flirty-pants :D

A nice hidden gem tucked in the Colonnade on Bloor West beside the Japan Foundation and Chanel. The staff are super friendly and know most people by name(they have an army of office worker regulars at lunch time). If you need a reason to go, they do absolutely the best Japanese-style al dente pasta in Toronto.

A bit hidden from the general crowd on the 2nd level of the Colonnade, this eatery is a great option for lunch in this area. It’s not exactly a secret as plenty of business folk in the know flow through this place during lunchtime. Other than La Societe, it’s the only other place to eat on this floor. At $ 7.50 plus tax for a filling lunch of chilli chicken, veg and rice, it’s lunch options are quite affordable. There is limited seating inside and just outside the eatery.

This place is located inside the Colonnade condos(131 Bloor St West, across from the Nike store on Bloor) on the second floor. It’s basically a breakfast & lunch spot that caters to people living in the building and business professionals in nearby offices. They do $ 4.99 breakfast and their lunch deals are cheap too. $ 4.99 for large sandwiches, $ 2.99 soup of the day plus a variety of daily specials — entrée + rice/noodle/salad combos that generally cost $ 5.99-$ 7.99. Today they had chicken parmesan, grilled salmon fillets and chicken curry(with choice of rice, noodles or salad) Food is pretty decent, price is right, good when you’re in a rush to get back to the office!
