I’ve always known cobs bread as «bakers delight» where I spent years down under in australia. These«cob bread» places are everywhere down there like tim hortons are in canada. Most locations are probably about twice the size down under but here they are equally as good. Won’t buy my bread anywhere else.

Love the all the croissants. I only wish they carried the chili cheese rolls which are to die for.

I think I have tried everything in the case now and it is all delicious, no matter what. Staff are nice too, and the loyalty cards add up quickly! Scones and danishes and croissants are a weekend tradition.

Abosolutely love it here! Every time I come here for their delicious apricot loaf which has much more than just apricot! Never knew you could have so much flavour in one loaf! I can adjust the slices and normally get the thicker slice and share it with my friends during classes and literally amongst 3 people, we finish the entire loaf! so addicting and can’t stop eating it! They also have many more different types of bread and pastries. Another favorite of mine would be the spinach and cheese Danish! So good!

Cobs is one of the reasons I love working in the annex. I had actually stopped buying bread for over a year because I could never make it through a loaf before it went stale. Now I just buy the mini half loaves, and because fresh bread is so good, I find myself devouring slices as a snack… doesn’t even need anything spread on it. I also love that there’s always something new to try and the treats aren’t the regular assortment of frosting covered toothrot. Today I tried a Sweet Chili Sticky Bun. It’s this wonderful mix of hot, savory, and sweet. I’ve never had anything quite like it. The staff have always been very fast and helpful. Even when confronted with a crowd, no one loses their cool.

Wow. Despite this being part of a global chain ALL bread is baked FRESH daily and when they make it, they make it from scratch. This is not some chain centrally sending out pre-made frozen stuff to be baked instore. No way. With bags of flour piled high in the back and an award for best regional bun proudly displayed on the wall, this in an actual, old fashioned make-it-from-scratch bakery. No matter it is a chain — ignore that. The people here know their bread and despite the queue, one of the staff there kindly took time to explain to me how they make and get judged on their bread. The item I chose to try was the cinnamon scone and WOW was it fantastic! Lovely, flavourful and fun it was delicious. Bloor West Village is lucky to have this bakers.

l’m so happy that they finally opened a store in the Bloor West Village, it was time to give all those other Bakeries on the strip some competition hence keeping them on their toes. I love the Country Grain Block and of course the Cinnamon Scones are just perfect to satisfy a sweet tooth.

one piece of advise: stay away from the«grumpy little lady» if you see her(you’ll recognize her immediately) … if it’s your turn let the person behind you go ahead in front of you … some people are simply not made to work in a private sector customer service environment … last time i went there i seriously felt like being at a government office …
