Went there to deposit a cheque. It was shortly after 9AM, when many fellow Torontonians were still rushing through the concourse to their place of work, like ants through the pathways inside an anthill. Commerce Court, where south-north and east-west human streams intersect and come upon a long burgundy counter with tellers ready, eager and willing to cater to your every banking whim. My «whim» was, very simply, put a cheque into my account and get the heck out of there, pronto. Which is exactly what happened: There were three idle tellers and one me. Mission was accomplished and I was off to my first business meeting of the day.
