Quality workmanship is what I received when I went in there. The re-​stuffed the cushions on my couch. Back cushions where down filled. It took 3 days, he was honest and answered any questions I had. I live just down the street from the shop so unless your looking you won’t find it. They can custom build you any style of furniture you want at a reasonable price that will last 20 – 30 years. Cash is the best way to pay for work done. Highly recommended!!!

I doubt that Charles Upholstering gets much walk-​in traffic, since the shop is cluttered with random bits of furniture, and you have to holler to get the upholsterer out from the back. But he does good work, which is the only way for a place this discombobulated to stay around for so long.
The last time I was here, the upholsterer recognized me from my last visit a few years earlier, and we had a great chat about watching hockey games in HD. That led to a reminiscence of his about how everyone went over to watch the games at the house of the first guy to have a colour TV in the neighbourhood back in the early ‘60s. I guess nothing really changes much…
