Though I do like shopping at Bulk Barn locations and I’m happy this location opened up in my neighbour hood. As with all Bulk Barn locations, freshness isn’t top par but mainly because of the type of containers used to dispense them. Overall this location is super clean and the staff are helpful and pleasant. I wish they had a middle walk across aisle instead of long narrow aisle that stretch all the way to the back of the store. I wish they had more scales instead of only two, at the front and back of the store.

This Bulk Barn is fine. I don’t think I’ve been in a Bulk Barn that wasn’t fine. There’s nothing exceptional about this location, though. The store layout can be a bit odd. I think a Bulk Barn is generally only as good as the customers it receives in that nasty customers can leave you wanting to not touch the bins those customers have touched. This location seems to have normal enough customers.

This is a new location! After the one close to me closed, I was curious if one would open up. I’m happy, but the one in the Loblaw was more convenient for me. This one is nice and bright and clean though. No complaints. I like to shop at bulk barn for grains and rice(s).

I always heart bulk barn. Lately they have been stocking their goods with more and more gluten free and alternative type foods. This new one, i thought would be limited bc of its small location, but I was wrong ! They actually use the space quite efficiently with some bulk items(that I hope they did their homework and are not as commonly needed) above in dispensers rather than big bins on the floor. They also have a refridgerated section(for perishable spreads and things) and a liquid oil/honey dispenser with squirty bottles ! Get these while there is no charge(unless already included in price. I got a full sized honey(340g) for $ 3.08 and agave(320g) for $ 3.76. I think in stores would go for at least $ 5+ As with any bulk barn you can find all sorts of dried food and spices you can dream of including all sorts of pastas, rice, grains, pet food, candy, sugars, cerael, granola, dried fruits etc. Something newI discovered this trip that they carry was Cassava Chips, Plantain Chips, and Soy Flour, Quinoa flour, Avocado Oil, Agave, Grape Seed oil and Cold Pressed Oilve oil. They also sell conventional items non bulk, look for the sales! I also exclusively buy any cake decoarting and baking supplies here(icing tips, icing bags, muffin cups). About $ 2 – 3 for a metal tip. Also check your local flyers and the website for weekly coupons you cannot get in store ! The people here are still new, so be patient when he doesnt know the code to your product and help them by identifying all white powerdy things(diff. types of flour in my case) The staff are super friendly and seem hardworking. cant wait to come back. now I can stop going to big carrot for my bulk stuff come here. this might be more dangerous for me than bodyblue next door.

*putting my brain case back together* I’ve never been a «Bulk Barn»(who names these places?) until today. My head exploded. It’s a brand new Barn o Bulk. Spiffy and clean with no off-putting smells. Bins loaded up with: Fresh smelling spices Loose and bagged tea Coffee all over the place Candy! Candy! Candy! Sprinkles and«coloured fondant» whatever that is Grains, beans, sweeteners of all kinds(including honey and agave) Granola Flours including gluten free items You also have your: Speciality cake pans and supplies Nifty storage jars Bag o’ chips Salsas and other condiments Bags of dried noodles Granola Cooking oils Nut butters Pinatas to stuff with candy! … it’s too much to take in. But not too much on the wallet. Nice featured coupons to ease your spending.(I would minus one star for the eye-troubling canary-yellow and fire-engine-red color scheme, but it’s not that big of a deal.)
