Bloor Dovercourt Appliances

We were looking for a washer that came apart easily to fit down a narrow set of basement stairs. We wanted a regular sized washer, not an apartment sized one. We had looked at Sears, and while the sales associates were friendly, they weren’t able to recommend anything or maybe they just weren’t knowledgeable enough about what brands/​models were able to disassemble and reassemble easily. We had also looked at Caplan’s but they couldn’t find any for us either. Good thing my brother remembered BDA from when we used to live in the area. We e-​mailed them and received an e-​mail reply shortly after. The rest is history. They were able to provide us with a list of models that were able to come apart, along with prices. They even set up for a separate company to disassemble and reassemble the washer for us. Everything was at a reasonable price as well. All in all, very happy with our experience at Bloor Dovercourt Appliances. Will definitely be back for our next major appliance purchase.

I have been a very long time customer of Bloor Dovercourt Appliances.
Over many years I have bought every single appliance I have ever wanted or needed from them dating back to 1995. My needs were small at first, but have grown over time. At first it was their pricing that hooked me in. They had better deals than even the best of the big box stores.
I keep going back because Joe Perketa and the rest of their crew are great and their service is amazing. When our manufacturer’s warranty expired or the older products we owned broke down, they stood up for us and helped us with whatever service/​repair we needed. Even after hours or on weekends, when we needed them, they have rolled up their sleeves to deliver when nobody else would. Nothing lasts forever, and when the old machines died, they have always given us great deals on new appliances to help ease the pain of a broken machine. They have never backed down from a challenge and were always happy to help.
Delivery this afternoon? No problem. Up three flights of stairs? No Problem. Want a receipt from 10 years ago to make a warranty claim? No problem.
They carry a broad range of products from the super cheap and cheerful to the über cool and very expensive. I don’t like to buy things like appliances very often so when I do, I want Quality, Great Service, Warranty and almost more importantly a great deal. You don’t usually get all of those things in one place, but at Bloor Dovercourt you do.
Amazing. Go there. You will not ever regret buying from them. You’ll actually want to go back there and buy something else just because.

At least once a month I will see someone, usually one half of a couple, stop dead in their tracks in front of Bloor Dovercourt Appliances — so they can drool over the retro-​styled fridges and ovens they have strategically placed near the front windows.
I’ve never been in the market for any major appliances in my life until this summer when I decided that buying an air conditioner would be preferable to showering three times a day. Planning to wait and go to a big box store, I finally snapped and marched down to Bloor Dovercourt Appliances to see what their prices were like. And I was happy with what I saw. Their price points were on par with the big chains, especially in terms of smaller units which they were probably selling a lot of this summer.
Their was only one salesman in the store who was in the middle of helping a customer, but he offered me a seat and while I blissfully soaked in the cool air conditioning in the store I checked out the models they had. Within short order the other customer was finished and he began to answer my questions. He knew what he was talking about and was very courteous — at one point some guy charged in wanting immediate service but the salesman handled it well and finished my transaction. I left cheerfully wheeling an air conditioner window unit away on my little errand cart, after he helped me tie it down securely to ensure a safe trip home. I don’t anticipate needing to purchase anything further from this store but they are very nice and have a good selection of appliances.
