Do not book with them. They will charge your account for work never done and never booked. I have emailed and called them asking for why they charged my account and they never got back to me. However when I was just browsing the site and never completed registration they were quick to call and offer their help, making them seem amazing.
I had two encounters with them: 1) Cecil came out and assessed the work to be done. This should be free of charge. 2) booked them for garbage removal and they texted saying they couldn’t find someone in time. I don’t know which service they charged me for but these were both within 3 months of each other. I wouldn’t use them again even though the concept is good.

Used this several a times specially for handyman work. Found a great handyman and every time I request for him only mad they send it. No price haggling or anything. Referred it to my friends too

I needed my house cleaned last week so I posted on askfortask. Marilia came as scheduled and did a great job. I will be using this service monthly to have my house cleaned. Would definitely recommend.

I booked a helper to come and assist with a move I did earlier this month. Chris showed up earlier than anticipated and stayed longer than I had previously booked for. He was ready to start upon arrival and took initiative with the move. For the price and service I received I would definitely book again!

Asking to waste your time.
«Cecil B» booked for 12:15 — 12:30. Not showing up. Called AFT at 1:15. They said they would call him. Cecil calls shortly after. Says he was on a roof and couldn’t get to his phone. Wants to come later; says that «in fact I’m very close to where you are.» Fine, I say, 2:30. What do you think happens? Sure enough, no show. I call AFT again at 3, just as a call from You Know Who comes in. I’m long gone from home and can’t waste any more time. I tell whomever it is at AFT that their service is terrible and that situations like this are disastrous. You don’t get another chance, not after blowing me off twice.
What I’ve read from some of the other reviews here back this one thing up: Caveat emptor. Wish I had read the reviews here first, before wasting my time.

I was locked out last weekend as my front door lock was jammed. I was able to post a task on Askfortask and got an immediate response from handyman close in my area. Soon my lock was fixed and I paid online using my credit card, so no worries if I did not have cash handy. This works. I got three tasks done so far from them. Two handyman jobs and one cleaning. Highly recommended for odd jobs.
