What I dislike about this place is the doctors, in hopes of making more money, keep asking you to come back. My mother was told to try something and come back and when she did, she was told to try something else and come back. It makes you feel like you are part of some trial and error project. Also, when I stated that I had more than one issue — the doctor said«The place is so busy, I can only take one issue at a time. You will have to come back for that issue.» To my amazement there was ONE whole patient sitting out in the waiting area. I want to be grateful for our healthcare system, I really do… but experiences like this just make me wonder about the ethics of doctors.(Hippocrates is probably turning in his grave)

I came in here initially as a walk in and thought it was great as didn’t have to wait a million hours — I got there about 4.45 and was told I would be the first person for the doctor starting at 5pm, which I was fine with. I was taken into the treatment bit at 5 and then waited about 10 – 15 mins to see the doctor, who was friendly and efficient. I was so impressed I made an appointment to see a family doctor. When I arrived, I was told to take some of my clothing off and wait. The room backs on to street parking, and though it has frosted glass, it was really horrible to sit feeling exposed on a treatment bench listening to people on the street outside and waiting. What’s the point of making appointments just to subject people to this? I tried to be patient but I just got fed up and put my clothes back on to see what was going on, only to be told that the doctor was running late and would be with me «shortly». I deliberately booked the first appointment in the doctor’s shift as I wouldn’t have to wait, so I really don’t understand how their booking system works. I probably see a doctor about once every 6 years so maybe this is considered normal? I know that there is a general sense that one should always wait to see a doctor but I think this is very disrespectful to patients and really needs to change. Given that there are posters up in the offices encouraging people to go for routine, potentially life-saving, tests — well, it was hugely off putting, maybe people would go as recommended if it were less degrading and inconvenient. I was hoping to finally find a downtown medical center to rely on but sadly the search continues.

Dragged my sick ass out of bed to get here because their website said it was open from 9 – 5, but when I got there some guy(reception??) said«the doctor takes her last patient at 4:30» and that it was on the website. Since it clearly wasn’t on the website when I looked at it before I left the house(note: I live 10 min away), I pulled it up again and there was a little note saying«Doctor has taken her last patient for the day». WTF? I asked him if he thought it was reasonable that I would continue checking their website while riding my bike there and he just stared at me blankly. I mentioned if they state they are open till 5, they should be open till 5 and not close when they feel like it. Needless to say I did not get treated.
