Alex Farm Products

The one star is for the Alex Farm chevre they sell here. I don’t know what they put in it, but that shiz is incredible. It’s like my crack. It’s the only reason I go to this place, and it’s the only thing I ever buy there – mostly because they are CHRONIC overchargers/​upsellers. EVERY SINGLE TIME I ask for 200 grams of cheese, and EVERY SINGLE TIME they try to give me 250, 300, or (one time) almost 400 grams. And I mean every time. I must have bought cheese there on 12 or 13 occasions over four years, and not once have I been given the amount I actually asked for. Such a consistently deceptive business practice speaks very, very poorly of them.
And worse… they actually have the nerve to argue with me when I call them on it!!! The staff are pretty surly to begin with, but if you dare question them when you try to get what you actually asked for… watch out. Death stares coming your way.
I’ve tried a few of their other cheeses and dips, which were mostly meh and overpriced. Like I said, the ONLY reason to go is for the chevre. Damn, I wish I didn’t have to go back there to get that chevre… but I will.
