Standard experience here. I got a Slurpee and got out. I was surprised that the store wasn’t more busy due to the nice weather and it’s proximity to High Park where the Cherry Blossoms were in full bloom and half the city was visiting.

I love living close to a good convenience store. I used to go to Ken’s Convenience Store, which is down the street, but it’s a) never open, b) has a really bad selection. For instance, they don’t sell newspapers! And there aren’t any newspaper boxes nearby either. 7-Eleven is a bit further down, but completely worth the walk for me. They sell newspapers for starters(even some fancy international ones), but there are many other good reasons, such as… — So clean and bright — Very spacious — I can walk around without fearing I’ll knock everything over. — Staff are very very very nice — CIBC Bank machine — Amazing, not stale bulk candy, including 4 licorice types! — Fresh-baked cookies and donuts — 2 honey glazed donuts for $ 1(imagine knock off Kripsy Keme) — The coffee is not too bad! It’s self-serve, lots of options, flavoured syrups, flavoured creamers — They’ll brew any coffee for you fresh if you ask — Loyalty coffee card: buy four, get your fifth free — TTC items that you can pay for with Visa/debit –Good deals, Two big bags of Ruffles for $ 6, Mars for 99cents — New chocolate: They have those really big Reese bars, Peanut butter Snickers, and a Three Musketeer that looked a Twix — Apples, bananas, oranges(plus lots of other hot food I wouldn’t want to eat, but you might — e.g., taquitos! sandwiches, patties, and a whole fridge full of prepared meals). — If you drive, there is a parking lot — At Chirstmas, I bought a blnking christmas lights necklace(with two extra batteries) for $ 5 Ok this convenience store post has gone on long enough. It is very nice though. Even though I usually like to support the little guys, like October Convenience and sometimes even Ken’s Variety, this spot is very reliable and lovely.
