Vlassis Souvlaki & Greek Taverna

Great food but some of the rudest staff I have ever dealt with!
Threw my staff party there, had over 70 guest come by and order dinner and lots of drinks. We were told we had enough people to shut down the restaurant and have our own private function. We were told we could have a DJ and a dance floor till 1am. After dinner, some people went out for cigarettes. The owner came out and yelled at them for being disrespectful to her neighbours by smoking, even though they were in a designated area. RUDE! Throughout the night a few glasses broke (as you would expect with such a large party and people being told by owners that they were allowed to be drinking and dancing all over the place) and again we were yelled at and called disrespectful. At around 11pm the owner grabbed the DJ’s (who we privately hired) microphone and told us all the party was over, even though I paid her till 1am. She said it was because we broke 3 glasses that evening and she had enough of us, she was sick of our party. Wow! We paid her THOUSANDS of dollars to be there that evening and when she got all our money out of us, she wanted us all to leave. We all work in a different restaurant and were so flabbergasted by the way this woman was treating us, as we would get fired immediately for treating our guest that way at our establishment. I asked her to keep track of all the broken glassware and I would pay her for them at the end of the evening, 1am like we discussed. She rolled her eyes and walked away in a huff and puff. I followed her and asked her to be more professional about the situation so we could come to an agreement. I guess that offended her too (big surprise there) and she looked like she was going to lose it on me or start crying. She said we could stay till 12am but no longer. I said that isn’t what we agreed on but fine. I was done at that point. It was then I decided to never come back in, even though the food is amazing. We will just order in from now on.

We called on December 23^rd to see what time they deliver until on Christmas Eve. They said 8pm is the latest they will take an order for delivery on the 24^th. Called on Christmas Eve at 6:30pm and was told by the same lady that I talked to the day before that they had just closed, again in an extremely rude tone and then she hung up on me. Great! Merry Christmas to you too, B*tch! Thanks for the false info, now where will we eat on Xmas eve? She was so rude about it and I could tell it was the same woman that we dealt with at the party. I’d love for this woman to just sell the business and recipes to someone who knows how to treat their valued customers and stop being such a mean old entitled white lady. F*cking Souvlaki Nazi.

This place has very good food. One of the best Greek restaurants I’ve been to. The portions are very generous. The restaurant is very nice inside. It’s just hard to find the place. You don’t see it from the road. The only draw back I have is price. It’s a expensive restaurant. It’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars. My roommate orders from here 3 days a week or more. If you want to eat out Greek you won’t go wrong here.

This is our all time favourite Place to eat Greek! We are regulars. The food is so so so yummy every time!!! The servers are kind, friendly & prompt! The dinning room is very large with a great atmosphere & accessible for those who require larger spaces with wheel chairs etc. Price wise is moderate for Greek food, as you will pay a little more for it knowingly but worth every penny! A great date night or special occasion location!

This is my all time favorite Greek Restaurant! Food is always fabulous. Servers very friendly and attentive! Just had my 60^th Birthday party dinner here and not 1 complaint from my picky siblings. One of them even said how good it was.

This is a favorite for hubby and I. Within walking distance, we like to go here for a quiet dinner together after a long week of work. Wine is inexpensive but good, and their dishes are typical delicious Greek. Reservations are typically not necessary. If you are in a rush, the waitress told us the best dish to order is the calamari. They can have that one ready in minutes. It’s a good one, too! There is a large dining area, so large groups are easy for them to accommodate.

Greek food is always expensive, but this place was a little ridiculous.
