I’m not sure who it was, but she was a lovely employee with bleached blonde hair and curls. Anyway, she was SO incredibly helpful and helped me achieve the perfect plum colour of hair. I actually want to go in just to thank her, I’m so happy with it ! :) Best store ever… it’s hard to not spend all your money here. :P

Given the fact going from Vancouver to Surrey is almost a trip within itself, I was happy to find this location. YAY! Now I can use my strange coloured Canada Money and wont have to put up with any more creepy, invasive Border guards if I want to get my hair things! If I were to compare it to being a kid in a candy store, my hair would be that overweight child who keeps getting bullied by all the other hair-children and probably has type 2 diabetes. Seriously. I have so much hair crap at home it’s borderline disorder-like/hoard-ish. Places like these which offer great discounts and have nice staff don’t help!

I’m all things beauty! I love hair, make-up, nails and everything else! Sally’s a great place to find great products at affordable prices. Make sure you get a Sally’s card because it is so worth it. I find myself visiting at least once a week. They have the BEST hair dyes ever. I use the Ion Permanent Crème Hair Color and the 30 Volume ion Sensitive Scalp Developer. I’m not too exact on the price but I know that with all things considered, it is cheaper than Drugstore box hair dyes and work 10000x better. Whenever i come to Sally’s, i always leave with a few nailpolish purchases. Ah, i can’t help myself! Considering that I seldom find nail polishes that are not on sale. They have a great selection of China Glaze(my favourite at only $ 6) and Orly(at $ 5). They also carry some generic brands and the famous Seche Vite top coat which is hard to find in Surrey, BC. To be a honest, I am a little iffy on the makeup because there are no testers thus, I cannot see the pigmentation nor the true colour of the product so it could be a hit-or-miss type deal. Oh! Oh! They have a great range of eyelashes. From party, flirty, natural, thick, wispy lashes — they have it all! I should mention that the hair extensions are very thin and do not come with very much. So yes, you get what you pay for! All in all, I recommend Sally’s for hair dyes, hair accessories(clips, headbands, bobbypins, curling wands/irons), nail supplies and eyelashes. Happy shopping!

I go to Sally’s all the time, I get everything from hairspray to nail clippers here. There is a good chance you will be completely ignored from the time you walk in til you pay, but I go for the selection and good prices, not the customer service.

I don’t know if many are aware this place exists here. I know I wasn’t. And I’m a bit of a junky when it comes to beauty supply stores. I know of many Sally’s in the US, but wasn’t aware we had one here. This one is located amongst a giant Wal-Mart and a bunch of outlet stores in Surrey. Yes, I drove to Surrey to go here. A testament to the severity of my obsession. Selection here compared to the other beauty supply store I reviewed is quite similar — as far as nail polish goes, they have the China Glaze polishes I love, and different ones than the other place, but the selection of colours is smaller. To make up for it, they stock many other salon-quality brands(Orly, Savvy, Nina Ultra Pro, Finger Paints — I love Finger Paints, they all have art-related names… yes, I’m aware of how much of a dork I am, thank you) but they don’t have any OPI. Plus, the prices are much more expensive. You can purchase a Sally’s Club Membership card, much like the other store, for five dollars(compared to ten at Secret Nail and Beauty Supply) and I think its supposed to get you some sort of a discount, but I don’t think I saw it reflected in my purchase… I could be wrong, I lost the receipt. And they do have a website that you can order from(with MUCH better stock) and I think you can get special discount and offers with your membership card on the site, but I’m not too sure of the specifics. Go and look for yourself. Jeez, make me do all the work for you: p They also have a whole whack of hair stuff and various other beauty and salon supplies. Once again, I’m not a professional so I don’t really spend a whole lot of time browsing through this stuff. I looked at some basic hair stuff, like rollers and elephant clips, but they seemed kind of overpriced so I ended up putting it back. Oh, and by the cash register at the front, they have a whole case of tiny(.18FL oz.) cute little mini Sally Girl nail polishes. They’re sooo cute, only a buck each and have so many bright pretty colors. The dollar price tag will suck you in and devour your change, I tell you! All in all, a little bit more expensive than the place on Kingsway but it has a different selection. Which you need sometimes. Right. Okay, I’m going to go do something intelligent now. My brain has liquefied from nail polish fumes and frivolity and is now running out my ears.
