Hands down the best South Indian food you can get in the GVRD! I’ve actually had the real thing in South Indian and these guys hit it out of the park every time! The place isn’t much to look at and could definitely use a major décor upgrade but this is one of those places you go for the food and not for the atmosphere or the décor! The furniture is dated and the painting don’t really have a theme that keeps inline with South India. The service is average at the most, the staff is friendly. Fortunately, the food is the saving grace of this place and my compliments to the cooks in the back! They have the freshest and proper dosa’s around. The«coconut chutney» is epic. The dosa’s are always crisp, freshly made and served hot! Depending on your taste, you should get your own style of Dosa! My personal favorite is the rava onion paneer masala dosa! It’s delicious! I’ve been eating here for over 10 years and love love love this place! Also, I’ve tried their competition(other dosa’s houses) around Vancouver and found them to be the clear cut winner. I think they stick close to the traditional recipes for dosa’s and serve it fresh. I think you can’t really say, this is the best dosa place around until you’ve been to a few of them. I would encourage people to go to other dosa restaurants only to see how great the food is here!

try the rava masala dosa. the restaurant’s small, the food tastes like it’s made on the streets of india — but a bit cleaner. don’t expect to get good waiter service, make sure to order everything any chance you get! the servers go MIA a lot, and are hard to get a hold of.

It’s great. Dont go by the looks. One of the best south Indian food I’ve had in India. Best dosas in town. Good curd rice. I go there every time I crave dosas.

Good restaurant for authentic South Indian dosa place. Apart from dosa they have other dishes which is pretty awesome. Try veg dum biriyani. It’s awesome. Definitely a place to visit to have delicious food. It’s affordable as well. Just improve the ambience a bit and its will be 5 star for sure.

Good South Indian vegetarian restaurant. The only thing they could work upon is the ambience.

For a small establishment in Surrey I have to say that the atmosphere matches the Indian theme. Pictures of peacocks, various Hindu gods and women adorn the walls. Coming into the restaurant you are greeted and guided to your seat by the host(so far so good right?) getting settled and ordering food. Appetizers of pani poori and chaat arrive. Finally followed by the beverages we ordered when we were seated. This is already going downhill. Can you see the trend? I’m really rooting for the Dhosa to be this establishments saving grace, how wrong I was. The Dhosa came, and traditionally, Dhosa is supposed to be wrapped up like a long burrito. The Dhosa looked like burnt triangles(gravity was not working on my side here) the Dhosa filling was sitting on the bottom where the angles meet, so flipping the Dhosa to get to the filling was both messy and a hassle(by this time time it’s a bitch to eat). The filling was the same amount you’d give a baby, microscopic. Overall experience, you’re better off spending the money and going to a nicer place in Vancouver. Or just going downtown. Don’t do it! Spare yourself the trauma and agony.

This is the place to go when you are in the mood for, or want to try, high quality authentic south Indian food. These guys are amazingly friendly, the place is clean and the food is fresh and fast. We have visited a handful of times(crossing the bridge into Surrey to satisfy the craving) and every time the food is perfect. if you don’t know what to get, try the Mayuri South Indian Dosa Platter and sample a variety. Wish I were going tonight…

Paneer Masala Dosa. Frickin huge! The dosa was filled with lots of cheese and potato, and the crêpe wrap was light and nicely golden brown. The red sauce is a nice spicy ginger sauce. The white was kind of bland, not really sure what it was. The curry sauce was really good with the dosa. Highly recommend. This was a super filling lunch… like food coma at work :/

OK… I am not as learned with my curry as I wish I were(indian is another favourite food of mine!) but my brown friend vouches for this place, citing 5 different friends she’s taken here. The food is southern indian… the service is friendly… there’s wifi… if I was in the area, I’d definitely hit this place up again for their dosas(huge and great value)… plus they give a cpl different hot sauces to test out(the white one is handle-able… the other two were too spicy for me) it’s in a random warehouse-y type area, but don’t be put off… hit this place up!

There is plenty of Northern Indian restaurants in Abbotsford, but this is the first South Indian one that I am aware of! The food was delicious and the service was great. Nice crispy dosas with tasty potato curry inside. The ginger chutney was especially good. Plus complimentary chai at the end! Will definitely be back. The location is one of those places that seems to be a revolving door of new restaurants, but hopefully this one sticks around.
