Jaipur Indian Cuisine

Came here with a party of seven and ordered tons of dishes. The tandoori prawns were spicy and flavorful and the curries (Methi Chicken, Paneer, and Bhuna lamb) met my spice level (hot and flavorful). The only thing lacking was service but other than that, I recommended it.

I’m giving the 4 star for the food. The service is lacking., but that’s expected at an Indian restaurant in Surrey still haven’t had exceptional service anywhere. Some serious training is needed.
Anyways, the food! Excellent. The kulchas, and the jaipuri kebabs stood out for me. I crave it.
When you order kebabs you think of skewered meat, and their description needs updating on the menu. Says kebabs served with sauce. It’s kebabs cut up, served in a sauce. Skip the Butter Chicken my European descendant friends! This is the best Indian dish I’ve had in Canada.
Think of excellent chicken kebabs served in the sauce you get with malai kofta. You can’t get that anywhere else.
I had the best kulchas in Chandigarh. Better than the famous Amritsari ones. And this is the closest I’ve ever tasted to that.
I suggest you rush to this place and enjoy the food, before the chef saves up enough to buy up some shite defunct restaurant and opens his own. (I know, I’m making that assumption they have the head chef on a work visa from India, don’t hate).
Food, awesome. Service, absolutely… not good. The manager was there once when I went. He couldnt care less if we were there or not, too busy on his cell. I would expect a reasonably new establishment’s manager would speak to clients etc.
The décor is wicked. It’s like you’ve stepped off GT Road straight into a restaurant in India. Granite and wood panelling on walls, etc.
Shame the service is shhhhhh…

Its different in good way. You can tell difference in spices. Service needs to be a bit fast but food is good.

Great Goat in surrey? YES. Service was positive and prompt. Ambiance was beautiful. Perhaps the best onion kultcha I ever had, very onioney. Barta [ SP? eggplant ] was very good too. Chai was good. A VERY pleasant dining experience and we will be back.

We ordered chicken harayali kabab which was too dry and undercooked. The soup was just okay ! Not so good experience overall. Would go back anyways, guess we went on a bad day coz d reviews are mostly good !

We have been there couple of times. I like their Bhuna Goat and Jaipuri Kofta’s. Overall their food is good and try their tea after dinner. Only issue I have is their plaice is very tight and celling is very low, but if you are going their for food its not a big issue

We’ve been here twice, had the Lamb Korma, Jaipur Pakoras, Chicken Biryani and Lamb Palak. The food is delicious, tastes freshly prepared. Lamb is tender, melt-​in-​your-​mouth & chicken is tasty, tandoori style. The service is also excellent. Nice patio too, although we sat inside as it was a cool evening.
