Cheyenne N. is correct. They are mainly concerned with billing. During my visit, I have never had so many extraneous services added. I was embarrassed to have referred a friend to this practice. He had an impacted and infected wisdom tooth. He went in and left with a prescription for a low-grade antibiotic, 600mg of ibuprofen, and a promise for surgery a month later. Because he didn’t have insurance, I don’t think they considered him a priority. Secondly, he had already been taking about 600mg of ibuprofen per dosage prior to visiting. He was in so much pain that he couldn’t eat or barely open his mouth. As we were leaving, the one friendly receptionist working seemed to recognize the absurdity of the situation and mentioned that a walk-in clinic might be able to prescribe something stronger, like T3. Why would he pay $ 50 for a 30 minute assessment only to wait for another hour at a walk-in clinic? Why didn’t the dentist do that in the first place? In my opinion, she judged him, treating him as some kind of miscreant addict(which he is not, and even if he were, would still deserve a modicum of respect and proper treatment). Thankfully, the next day I made him an appointment at Aim Dentistry in Fraser Heights. They immediately gave him a strong dose of a more appropriate antibiotic for his condition and T3s. Within a day, the swelling was noticeably reduced. They also called in a specialist to operate as soon as the swelling subsided enough to operate(5 days later). I was so incensed by the lack of treatment and callous insensitivity of Dr. Omid Shafiey that I cancelled all standing appointments with their office. During this call, the manager was suddenly able to conjure up a doctor who could perform my friend’s surgery! I informed her that we had already made more immediate plans with a caring practitioner. There are so many practices out there. Please don’t waste your time and money at this one.
