A pretty damned good donair, if you ask me. There are over 10 varieties on offer in this tiny shop, each with your choice of meaty goodness. From Turkish to Lebanese to Canadian(with crispy onions and mushrooms) each pita is sauced and stuffed generously by the owner — or her meticulously trained staff. The line can get long if more than a few people arrive at the same time, as there is usually only one person working at the counter, at least whenever I’ve been there. There are a few seats for eating in, although they do put a few chairs outside when the weather is warmer. The meat has always been tender and well-seasoned, the toppings are fresh, and if not for the thoughtful provision of well-sized napkins, I would make a real mess of myself eating one of these hand-held miracles. If you’re hungry, and you happen to be driving along Fraser Highway, what can I say but stop by?
