This was my first time here, so let me start with the good. The service was amazing. We were seated right away; given menus; and our drink order was taken. Our server told us about the specials and made a few recommendations because, in my opinion, the menu is too big. We had the mushroom bruschetta to start and I ordered the rocket & prosciutto pasta. I wasn’t overly impressed with the food. The bruschetta could have benefitted from better bread and the huge portion of pasta was too salty for my liking.

The first time I entered this restaurant was for lunch and I actually felt intimidated. The vibe, people, and atmosphere wasn’t something I was used to being around. After a couple more visits — for birthday parties, dinners etc… I became comfortable with RIB and I can’t wait until they re open. I suggest you try the Chicken Saltimbocca. Only thing I’d appreciate would be when the servers are taking our order and we order the app with the main course, explaining that the app(Tapas platter — special) is very large and comes with a lot of food. I understand up selling, however ordering the tapas platter, starter salads, and then our meals was just too much. Other then that, great place!

I think the place is a little bit overrated. The appetizer and pasta were a bit pricey.(20 for a pasta wasnt what i was looking for) The place has the price of restaurant like moxie or milestone but it didn’t meet the same decoration taste. However, you can’t ask too much since there isn’t many choice in Sudbury. The food was alright. I had the flatbread with my boyfriend which tastes good. I like the sour flavor artichoke heart topping. My boyfriend loved the quails he had. The waitresses were nice and they refilled our drink very fast. Overall, nice place but I don’t think I would go back.

Meh. Having been to RiB a bunch of times over the years I would say that the food is decent but the menu hasn’t really changed at all. Bring us something new.

Nice place with a good variety on the menu. Offering something for everyone. Tapas, fish, steak, chicken, salad you name it they got it… what they don’t have is a good tequila selection. Sudbury is not much of a tequila town it seems. Great and cute staff, highly recommended.

An absolute must dine of Sudbury. The unassuming storefront hides a gem of an Italian restaurant with hip ambiance, great service and excellent food. We drank red wine and the Italian iced tea. For starter, the tapas appetizer special. My main was the gnocchi. The sampler was perfect size for sharing with artichokes, olives, prosciutto, marinated mushrooms, pita, and chicken wings. All ingredients were of an evident quality. The gnocchi is served in a sauce that’s so tasty I would KILL to know how it’s made. Coming from the NY area we were blown away at the quality of food. There is no question that this restaurant has a big market quality and vibe. This place would thrive in a big city. Great for a date night or a group dinner(consider getting a reservation). Perhaps a bit pricy to someone on a student’s budget but at Respect is Burning you’re getting what you pay in quality ingredients. Do dress nicely as this is an upscale eatery

This is one of the few Sudbury restaurants I want to visit when I return to visit family & friends. If you plan on bringing a group then book ahead because the tables are often filled. The pastas & pizzas have always been a proper hit for me. Rob the owner is a good guy, I used to play music upstairs back in the day and he was always a good host.

Great food, energy, and to top it off great service. I had the sirloin and it was better than the last few tenderloin steaks that I’ve had lately. It’s a little loud but not obnoxious. Try the apple tort is warm, not too sweet and has a great velvet texture. The crust was a little too thick but still very nice. The owner, Rob, was out on the floor and was on the job. We were on sudbury on business and RIB was recommend by one of our customers.

I’ll start off by saying I like Respect is Burning. I thank god it exists in Sudbury. There’s not a lot of places you can go in this city for a beef carpaccio and that it exists downtown, in the heart of the city(although I’m not entirely if sure the two are synonymous anymore) is a definite bonus. I’ve been to Verdicchio’s, it’s sister restaurant and enjoyed it as well, but it’s out on Kelly Lake Rd and besides, it’s a little too fancy for a single diner like myself. RIB is a place you can go dressed down without the danger of being penned in between couples celebrating their anniversary nights decked out in their Sunday best. They have a long cocktail list with reasonable prices so I could even see going for a before or after-dinner drink at the bar. The menu is Italian. It’s not hugely inventive but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The pasta dishes appear to come in healthy servings. Wanting something on the lighter side, I ordered the beef carpaccio and the mushroom bruschetta. The beef was perfect, nicely arranged on a small pile of baby arugula(not baby spinach as the menu says). It was drizzled with balsamic and olive oil. My only complaint was that it was sprinkled with a pinch of grated parmigiana. When it comes to a dish this simple, you don’t mess with the key components. Shave the parmigiana. It’s not supposed to be decorative. The Deep Woods Bruschetta consisted of button mushrooms, fried in butter, I think, and piled onto toasted slices of bread generously spread with mascarpone cheese. Delicious. The portion size was a bit big for one person but perfect for sharing. The wine selection by the glass was shameful considering that this is an Italian restaurant. Only one red and one of white was available. I didn’t look at the bottle selection since I was dining alone. The prices are on par with some of the Toronto restaurants I frequent which made me do a double take, particularly when I glanced at the pizza menu. For dishes over twenty dollars I’m looking for quality over quantity, and with pizza it had better be blow-my-mind good. That said, I’ll return and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for something outside the Deluxe Drive Through experience. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Love this place. The menu centers on Italian faire. There are several inspired salad and bruchettas to choose from to start you off. For main courses there are several great pasta options. If you need to get your meat on, the steak and veal are fantastic options. Salmon is an option if you prefer surf to turf. Finally, the pizza rocks. I am not sure what the deal is, but the pizza is divine. The toppings and styles of pizza available will satisfy every lover out there. My personal favourite is «Werewolf by Night». I believe there is also some great dessert options however I am never able to get there as I usually tap out prior to the end of the meal. The bartenders know what they are doing. There is a full range of classic and designer cocktails available. The setting is nice too. In the summer the front of the restaurant is opened up and a nice view of Durham Street is offered. It is a pretty cosmopolitan view assuming the finest downtown has to offer aren’t rolling around on the sidewalks. Inside all the waitresses are pretty chic and the service is good. The décor is really wild and truly unique, including an abstact nude painting of the owner’s wife. To cap it off, the restaurant offers a loyalty program for free and throws in free specials all the time. I always look forward to returning to Respect is Burning

Fun place, great ambience, terrific food. My only criticism is that it can get a bit crowded and it is difficult to get in without a reservation.

Great Italian Fusion Food. They take their time to prepare the foods, and it is evident in the flavour of foods that you can get from here. If you are going in a group and have time to book well in Advance, I highly recommend that you ask for the Chef’s table, you tell them how much you want to spend per person and they make the menu to your taste and flavourful. If you are going here without a reservation, I would suggest that you have a backup plan, because this place gets busy on evenings and weekends. They have enough vegetarian options and will accommodate your needs. Vegan and gluten free options are very limited to non-existant, but if you are getting the Chef’s table tell them your preferences and they will adapt the menu to suit your needs. If you are going here for Lunch, there are no vegetarian options on the lunch menu. Servers are helpful(it can be hard to get their attention when the place is busy). This is Sudbury’s finest restaurant food wise, with a lot of variety to satisfy the meat and potato eater to the vegetarian.

Meh. I liked that the pizzas were named after b-list Marvel super heroes but they were named better than they tasted. My goat cheese salad was okay, but the egg thing that came on top of it was a weird texture to have in a salad. It was okay, not great, but okay.

Great name. Very good food. Italian style but not classic heavy style. Very busy on a Friday or Saturday night so make a reservation.
