Mahogany Salon & Spa

I recently went here as part of a bridal party. The place is gorgeous, inviting and the staff are sweet. We were served breakfast as we were a wedding party and the service/​food was %100.
Many of the woman got both hair and make up done. However, to save money, myself and another bridesmaid planned on doing our own makeup, but did get our hair done (which was beautiful!). Once arriving there at 9am, we informed the staff member we would be doing our makeup while waiting to get our hair done and for others to get both their hair and make up done. Now, we collectively as a group spent at least $ 1000 there within a 2 hour span. We were waiting to get out hair done and we were informed that we absolutely cannot do our own makeup there no matter what as they ‘provide those services in house already’. — I found this to be a HUGE problem and for this reason I would never go back or suggest this spa. There is no reason they couldn’t place us out of site in their giant salon. I did my make up sitting in my car in the middle of winter. TERRIBLE customer service!!!

What a beautiful place!
I was in dire need for a hair cut after being dissatisfied with the previous salon I went to. Made an appointment on a Thursday for Saturday — they had a cancellation.
I arrived just before my appointment and was offered a coffee and a chance to browse around.
I was greeted by a cheerful, smiley, pink haired stylist who welcomed me over to her corner of the shop. Her name is Dana, and she was just lovely!
Needing a new style, I came equipped with pictures and I had a few questions. Dana was great! In the end, the cut she gave me was perfect! A big change for me, but she did a stellar job so that my transition was not so drastic! 6 inches is a lot for my little head :)
I’ll be going back to her next time!

They accommodated me on very short notice, which I really appreciate. Last minute change of plans made my visit next weekend virtually impossible. So it had to be today.
The shop is nicely laid out, and a pleasant aroma greets you at the door. The staff is friendly, and the service was good.
I really like their Carleton Place retreat. But this is good for a quick service, and it’s close to home.
