We have been loyal customers to whichever New Asian Village we live closest to at the time. We’ve been ordering from the Sherwood Park location for the last three years and we love it. I’m not a huge fan of the buffet simply because I love my Indian food atomic hot, but ordering off the menu, whether it’s eating in or taking out, has never disappointed. We place an order there for take out at least every two weeks, sometimes more, and the very few times they’ve made a mistake with our order they have shown their great customer service the next time we place an order by giving us something free. I will continue to eat here as long as we live in Sherwood Park!

So, so, so amazing! The buffet is extremely reasonable considering the amount of food you get for the price. Something along the lines of 20 $. It’s fresh and authentic and the atmosphere makes you feel cozy and warm and welcome. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, they are adequate and absolutely wonderful. Never let down by the service and food we get here. My mom and I make it a regular stop whenever we are out and about.

Been here many times. My son just loves the butter chicken(«you can dip the Knan bread it it!» as he puts it) and is always on us to go again. That being said… there is little consistancy. I must admit I have never ordered off the menu… always simply indulging in the buffet. I can honestly say that it’s never been bad… but it not always great. Biggest issue I had was them not having a booster available one time(as the couple they do have were in use). Prices are good for families and it offers the kids a chance to try something different without an unreasonable expenditure. When my 4 year old daughter isn’t digging the Indian… we simply fill her up on the fresh fruit at the buffet. I just wish they could get the food to be at it’s best consistantly.

Picked up naan, rice, and vegetarian samosas for 4 ppl to compliment a couple curries I made myself. $ 65 later, the naan was an elastic mess with no flavour or seasoning, the rice was already hard and dehydrated, and the samosas were so unlike any delicious handmade samosa I’ve ever had. Seasoned incorrectly, completely homogenous in texture, and lacking any of the character of freshly roasted spices that samosas made with care usually have. It was garbage, robotic food. I wouldn’t have a problem with sides like this being as horrifically expensive as they are if they delivered quality — but these were sub par for even half the price. Too bad — New Asian Village made a name for itself based on quality — sad to see the satellites coasting on coat tails. This food was crap. Will never go back.

Been here a couple of times. Never overly impresses as the service is really spotty. This last time convinced me to never go back. The waiter took a long time to acknowledge our party of six. Brought some water and disappeared despite telling him we wanted to order from the menu. Finally came back and took drink order, only messed up one, 7up instead of soda water. Still no menus. After a few minutes flagged him down and asked for menus which arrived finally. Ordered appetizers and entrees and naan. After a while one appetizer showed up, no naan, then one more appetizer, still no naan. Then it showed up one dish at a time. The last dish came after we were finished everything. Food: not bad but lots of sauce little food. Saffron rice at five dollars a small dish is outrageous. Had to ask for the bill. You have to pay at the front desk and examine the bill there. Oh yes, they got the bill wrong and had to redo it. It. s very pricey for what you get. We’ve had takeout, you get more food and it’s not as expensive. If you just want nice décor and buffet this is your place, but not for a nice a la carte dinner. The 34th avenue location is infinitely better.

This restaurant is an exotic escape in winter or summer. Beautiful ambiance with rich satin & brass touches. Great for business meetings as they have a screen & other necessary items for meetings. Want to be romantic? Want privacy? Ask for one of their private booth. And the food? DELICIOUS!!! Great buffet, lots of Gluten Free options. Don’t want spicy? Order from the menu and they are more than happy to make any menu item to your liking!

I’ve been to this restaurant twice, both for the lunch buffet on a Sunday. Each visit, the restaurant only had one other party eating. Most recently, I arrived a little after 12pm, more than a half hour after the restaurant opened. At this time, most of the warmers had food, but two were still empty. There were various food options available, all hot and fresh. I found the lamb and the vegetables deep fried in a lentil batter especially good. While flavourful, none of the dishes were overly spicy. The waiter brought fresh naan to our table shortly after we sat down with our food and also replenished our basket when we ran out. Overall, service was quite good and the food was enjoyable. I would go again.

A friend introduced me to this restaurant in Sherwood Park. She is now an even better friend :) I was very impressed by this hidden gem. It is located off Broadmoor Blvd, in the MillsHaven area of the Park, in the same strip mall as the NAPA auto parts, Curves for Women and a gas station. The inside is wonderful — booths draped in sumptuous fabrics, a muted atmosphere playing quiet indian music. We went for the lunch buffet and it was wonderful. Lots of variety — from very spicy to not at all spicy, butter chicken to lamb. Potatoes & cauliflower to luscious soups. A bit of a tip though — when you go to get your naan bread, ask them to make you some fresh ones. If there are ones already out there, they are still great, but nothing beats piping hot fresh naan! I have since went back with my daughter who has celiac and they were very helpful in pointing out which dishes were gluten free. They even make a gluten free naan bread!!! She had lots to choose from and was very happy.
