Rent-​A-​Centre sells furniture, appliances and electronics to people with bad or no credit. It’s great to be poor and still be able to get a sofa, TV, dishwasher, computer, etc. While you are paying it off, you are ‘renting it’. You have the option to return a product before paying it off or you can pay it off fully and own it. It’s pretty much the only option for poor people to be able to decently furnish their place. The monthly, bi-​monthly or weekly payments are affordable, the only down side is that you pay double what it’s worth in the end.
I am currently paying off a dishwasher and a sectional sofa. I pay approx. $ 150/​m all together for both and they are in great condition.
Secret tip: the price they quote you is not fixed and you can haggle with them if your good at it. They are really motivated to sell their mercandise.
