First Choice Haircutters

Have been going to this location for over 5 years. Haircuts by Roxanne have always been great! Hair colour with platinum highlights a disaster — cap method used first time. half my head –top half — nice — white blonde — lower half of head and underneath hair — was not touched. After leaving salon — a friend saw me at home and asked me why my hair was white blond on top and brown underneath including back of my head. Called salon next day regarding obvious colour differences — advised by Roxanne that for complete hair colouring lower half and hair underneath requires foil. This not explained to me at my first hair colour apt … felt professionally Roxanne not up front about cap method and outcome — resulting in 2 different hair colours. A future visit to correct hair colour resulted in a colour being applied all over my head … white blonde hair colour turned yellow gold and brown hair underneath and back of my head turned dark yellow gold. I said I wasnt happy with outcome — Roxanne and Manager went on defensive … were curt and rude. Did not maintain professional demeanour, but took it on a personal level … instead had both talk at me – not to me. Cost of both experiences close to $ 190.00 combined. Not to mention additional cost of $ 135.00 to go elsewhere for corrective hair colouring. Customer service at this salon when hair colouring mistakes are made by staff and then backed up by the Manager are –9 [THATS MINUS 9] out of 10. What happened to the customer is always right. When asked for corrective colour free — not extended. When I then asked for discount in colour correction — was told no. Buyer be ware.

My wife and I walked in, wasn’t greeted and was not given any customer service whatsoever. Neither my wife nor I felt comfortable and we left immediately because we were getting «stare downs» from the employees who were also very rude to the customers after us

Do NOT get highlights here!
I had blonde highlights done here, and they looked fine everywhere except the front of my hair. They were ORANGE. I didn’t want orange, and I didn’t want two different colors of highlights either. She told me to «come in and she would «fix» it. I didn’t want to take that chance.
While I was there, getting my hair done, her boyfriend came in and she left me sitting there long after the timer went off. I yelled out to her, but she continued talking with her boyfriend. A few minutes later, she came back and apologized.
No discount offered for the crappy job, just an apology and an offer to try to fix it. I had to go elsewhere to get the orange changed to blonde. After I told a friend at work, she told me that the exact same thing happened to her (she wanted blonde highlights and they turned out orange) at this location. Luckily for her, the manager just happened to be there and fixed it for her right away.
Their prices may be cheaper than other places, but there’s a reason for that.
Sometimes you really DO get what you pay for.

I was not very fond of this salon. I dont know if the lady was not used to cuttinf asian hair, but I asked for a trim. She cuts hair horizontally while most asian stylists cut vertically to create a natural look. When she was dont I could tell something was off and of course, when I tie up my hair, it had a straight blunt cut, its like a broom stick.. very not impressed. I doubt I’ll ever be returning. I paid $ 20 considering there was no wash, no styling, I don’t think it was with it.

I went there long time ago when I lived at Scarborough, Dianne cut my hair for the frist time and she cut it super nice, I would rate a 5 star for her, but the next time I went, Dianne was not there and I have to go with another stylist, it was not satisfying at all… btw, they charge really low price for a hair cut.
