Impressed by the food and service. From starter to main courses, everything is perfect. The soup is very tasty. We will definately come back again when we revisit St. Catharines.

Revisited this beautiful restaurant after many years away. Truly, this was the best meal I’ve had that I can remember. Every dish we tried(3 appetizers, one entrée and a dessert between the two of us) was a celebration of flavor. Each was so expertly crafted and presented, and tasted so delightful, we honestly could do little else but rave about the food as we ate it! Our server was attentive and had a lovely, easy manner. If there is a criticism it might be that the helping of the flourless chocolate cake was a bit small, but was rich and tasty enough to make up for its size. Happy 30th, Wellington Court Café! Your staying power is a testament to the brilliant dining experience you provide.

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of St. Catharines. The location is a redecorated home that has a slightly bohemian style more typical of a European restaurant. The service was great as well as the drinks. If you like a Manhattan, get one here; they prepare their own cherries. The food was delicious and well proportioned. We had the special of the day as an entrée: the buttered cod, with calamari as an appetizer. Both dishes were very flavorful. Their patio is well set up and well serviced. It is definitely a location that I would enjoy visiting again!

When I was visiting St Catharines last October(2013) I found Wellington Court completely by accident. I was doing genealogy research and decided to drive around St Catharines to take photos of the homes where my husband’s ancestors had lived. This house was where the Franklin family lived in the early 1950’s! I had no reservations and was alone, but decided to have dinner here so I could see the inside of the house. I was welcomed warmly and had one of the best dining experiences of my life in this lovely restaurant. I ordered the Endive Salad with poached apple, crumbled bleu cheese and toasted almonds — it was wonderful with the sweet vermouth vinaigrette. For my main course I couldn’t resist the Venison Rack, served with bacon, creamed savoy cabbage, herbed fingerling potatoes, confit tomatoes with a red wine sauce. Dessert was a lovely and unusual Blue Cheese cheesecake with bacon on top! I’ll be back in St Catharines again in the near future and will be sure to dine at Wellington Court again — fantastic and creative food, and wonderful quiet atmosphere.

If you are looking for somewhere to celebrate a promotion or share a romantic meal for two, this is the best venue in town(by far). The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. I love that they offer corkage(for a small fee), but their wine list is also wonderful. During the summer months, there is live music on the weekends and a lovely patio.

I went there for a double date dinner for Valentine’s Day. I ordered roasted duck breast and my boyfriend ordered swordfish. Great food, nicely presented and great atmosphere, server was also really nice! One really bad thing is that there are not enough parking space, and the parking lot next to it is pay parking.
