Convenient and mellow place to wait for a flight. Solid selection of wine — including local variety — and they have taster sets of 3. Reasonably priced. Good menu with fresh food. Smoked salmon crostini is delicious but it is a small plate. Charcuterie is best value.

Decent place to grab a bit and a drink before your flight. I tried the BC red wine flight and enjoyed that, along with a Brie and fig jam sandwich which was really good. I am a huge Brie fan! Items are a bit overpriced but that’s standard airport fare, plus there was nothing else appetizing enough in the US terminal. Service was really quick but I expect that depends on flight traffic, I probably got lucky there.

Nice and comfortable to stop for a bite or a glass of wine before you take off. Always better to sit there while waiting.

Tuscan chicken sandwich is downright nasty. Bread is spongy and the texture of the sandwich screams«airport food» in the worst possible way. Will definitely skip this place next time. Comfy chairs, terrible food and service.

I was originally here for a craigslist transaction, ironically ended up eating here and having some wine. Considering the last minute plans, this place was very fair in letting us get a table with a good view. Food was pretty tasty but I did not like that it took us a long time to get water refills. Nonetheless I will definitely be returning here if I am around the area. Try their wine and cheese combo, it is to die for! 4⁄5 stars !

Oenophiles rejoice! There’s finally a place at YVR where you can enjoy a good selection of about 60+ wine that are almost evenly split between Old and New World which many are available by the glass. There are also pre-selected wine flights grouped by type(Red vs White), region(i.e. California), and price(i.e. Premium), but can also be purchase separately. Prices range from $ 12 to $ 20 for a flight of roughly 2ozs which I thought is reasonable especially at the airport. I saw a lot of open-bottles stocked on the bar and my assumption is that the turnover rate is high enough that they do not need to be stored properly. I sampled the House Signature Salmon Crostini, $ 10 for 3 pcs or $ 15 for 5 pcs, charcuterie platter, and a bowl of tomato soup. The Crostini chip was crisp, and the peppered salmon slice rest on top of a spread of crab meat mix which all together was quite delicious! The charcuterie platter came with 3 different types of deli(Proscuitto, spicy ham, spicy salami), 5 – 6 slices of tiny baguette, and few pickled baby cucumbers and picked olives. The soup($ 8) was the least favorite of them all… it was overly sour albeit I did see there were lots of finely diced tomato and herbs in there. It cools down very quickly so perhaps serving it in a hot bowl would help. I would go back for the wine but not for the food. Cheerio!

Stopped in for lunch since my flight was delayed. The atmosphere was pleasant, at least once a profusely swearing male paid his bill after unsuccessfully trying to impress two women at the bar. I ordered the Tuscan chicken sandwich and it was decidedly underwhelming for $ 11. My suspicion is that the whole thing was microwaved given the texture of the bread and the flavour of the chicken. It came with three gherkin pickles — an odd accompaniment. The wine flight was decent though rather pricey for three taster-sized pours. I requested water but it never arrived. Service was promptly and friendly, aside from aforementioned water issue.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Vino Volo considering airport food can usually disappoint. Had the red and white BC flights along with the Charcuterie. Didn’t love the onions that came with the Charcuterie but everything else was very delicious. Also had the chocolate mouse cake for dessert. This was a little underwhelming but still enjoyed it enough to finish the plate.

Not very impressed with either the quantity or the quality of the food. Packing your own lunch is definitely a better option. The tomato soup was good. The penne was rich but generally OK. The tacos were OK. Tuscan chicken sandwich was pretty good.

Had a late flight and needed dinner but too early to eat before boarding. Ordered prosciutto and brie sandwich & kale salad to go. These guys are fast. Food is good. Sandwich didn’t come with anything for the price. Otherwise would’ve given them 5 stars.

Sip some wines while you wait at the terminal. Download app and start ayu listing points if you travel often.

Snobby and snotty servers that laugh at you when they call last call and won’t allow you in. Avoid unless you are also snobby or snotty and enjoy making fun of and putting down others.

Talk about waiting at the airport in style! My flight was delayed for over an hour. I was in search somewhere to relax until my flight. That’s when I came across Vino Volo. They had a nice selection for the food menu. I ordered the cheese platter, it was delish! And the wine menu was great! I decided to do the three wine samples for about $ 13. AMAZING! :D I highly recommend this place if you have time to kill in Vancouver airport.

Great wine flights/samplers. Civilized place to drink wine, enjoy Wi-Fi, and wait for your flight. The evening we were there, we ordered roasted lamb meatballs that were over done. They were sort of tough, and not very appealing. The pesto on the meatballs was also overwhelming. But the salmon crostini(on little bruschettas) was delicious.

Awesome selection of good wines, cozy atmosphere with nice music. Great service. Conveniently located near the gates(around 70 – 80’s gates, gate 83 is right next to it).

Vino Volo is a nice oasis of calm in YVR. I had a 2 hour layover and wanted something to eat. I came across this place and was glad that there was an alternative to the usual pub/sports bar type places that are found in most airports. The décor is nice and there are comfy leather chairs. I looked at the menu and the options were definitely more interesting than the usual burgers, club sandwiches, etc. I decided to try the chick pea and chorizo chili. It was okay but not as hearty as the chili I am used to. It was kind of watery and mostly chickpeas with tiny bits of chorizo, kind of like a variant of chana masala. The portion was also really small. Not worth the ~$ 13IMO. They do have nice wine flights that are reasonably priced. I didn’t think i could drink that much wine(not good to be dehydrated before getting on a plane!), so I just had a glass of a California white for $ 9. This place is quiet and the service was prompt. It’s a nice place to relax if you have some time to kill, but I wouldn’t expect much from the food.

Traveling from the Czech Republic via USA to Canada to get delicious wine from Italy. Just Fun :) This was the perfect place to finish our trip. Wine was very good and staff as well.

If you’re stuck in airport this really is a great choice for food and wine and relaxation. I had professional service in a very nice atmosphere. I recommend Vino Volo when in Vancouver. I did not come for the wine but the selections are broad based.

Probably the best part of the layover in Vancouver… 3 hours to drink wine at Vino Vole. And drink wine we did! $ 100 later we had both consumed our own flight of wines as well as a full glass of our favourite pick. Those accompanied with some delicious appetizers and dessert meant we were both extremely content and likely lethargic as we boarded our 5 hours flight over to Hawaii! The server we had was excellent and I think this little location is perfect for travellers. I personally love that they had so many local wines and two sizes in almost every dish. Which is perfect if you don’t eat a lot or want to try a bunch of different things. Needless to say I was impressed and will be back!
