Steveston Village Maternity

I came here last year when my good friend and I were in Steveston for food. I was more or less curious as to what they had in the store as there were a few friends of mine having babies. I did walk in. The lady at the til seemed chill as I browsed. The prices are a little high but cute. I did politely pass, however, there are tons of cute places that I can get for a more reasonable price.

Nice warm store here in the village, does feel a bit more high end with its organic baby clothing.
You can pretty will buy anything here that you don’t need to go the mall, with a good selection of baby toys, knick knacks for strollers, diaper bags. Skip Hop not surprising it’s here, but Herschel knapsacks, yes.
Seriously, once I get here, one of the first things to buy would be those extra pockets strap on’s for the strollers, you can never have enough
And most importantly, clothing for mom too ;)

This shop is the epitome of what great service and quality products really means. Ben went waaaaay out of his way to accommodate me in my frantic search for a particular pair of pyjamas for our granddaughter for her first birthday. I called Thursday, and needed them by Saturday morning, and, having been turned down by several other stores (sold out at Christmas, spring stock coming in), my daughter suggested Steveston Village Maternity, saying what a great place it was and how much they like Ben and Beth, the owners. Ben didn’t have the pjs either, but that’s where everything changed. He contacted his supplier, found out that they had some, had them couriered to the shop on Friday, and they were there by Friday late afternoon. Can’t get in by store closing, or have to come early on Saturday before the store opens? Not a problem. Ben was willing to stay late, come back to the shop, or come in early (even an hour early!). My sweet little granddaughter slept last night in her beautiful, cosy Tea pjs, our daughter was over the moon (she loves Tea), and Ben has earned another loyal customer. Can’t recommend this store and these owners enough!

What a cute store! The owners clearly did their research on the mommy and baby must-​haves out on the market before stocking up their own shelves. Do expect the prices to be at least $ 3 more expensive than what you can find online or in bigger department stores but why would you expect any less from a boutique shop?
The owner was super sweet and helpful, most importantly not pushy!
Bottom line: if you haven’t done your own research on what’s good out there, this is a great resource that you can rely on for top consumer rated/​popular baby products. Also a great store for buying last minute gifts, since again you can get the same thing a little cheaper somewhere else.

After having my baby, I went back to get some more supplies. They continually source and bring in new products that they believe are the best of the best. From Nose Frieda, bum bum diaper balm, books and clothing for mom/​babe to bpa free toys, mealtime needs, nursing bras and breast pumps. They have the best of anything you can think of and saves you from doing the research.
Any questions, or need recommendations? Just ask… The owners and new parents have tried everything and are full of great suggestions. We love the store and the owners… If only more businesses were as passionate about their business as they are.
We can’t wait to go back… It’s always such a lovely shopping experience. The prices are very comparable to other stores/​websites so it’s nice to support a small family owned business.
