My very first Unilocal review because I would like to share my unpleasant experience and help others avoid a similar experience. The returns process was extremely difficult. I inadvertently purchased contacts from this website instead of my in-network provider’s website which has a very similar web address. It took THREEEMAILREQUESTS before I was sent a Return Merchandise Authorization(RMA #). I received email responses initially asking me to «give them a try» and«see if your insurance company will reimburse it». Finally I received the Return Merchandise Authorization and told there will be a 15% restocking fee for the 2 boxes of contacts that I will be returning. I sent TWOEMAILREQUESTS asking for a supervisor’s contact information to discuss the $ 14.55 re-stocking fee for 2 boxes of contacts. I was initially given a response by the same customer service agent stating that the lenses had to be special ordered(contacts were shipped in less than 72 hours from online order), cannot be sent back to the manufacturer, highly unlikely that they can be re-sold by the expiration date(**The contacts expire in 2016 and 2017**), that they also paid for the shipping and handling fees to send the contacts to me, and the restocking fee is to cover their own expenses. After the second request I received an email from the director and COO stating that they fulfilled the situation properly, and I will be charged the 15% restocking fee. I replied stating my dissatisfaction and poor review of this company, and have received no further response. I did not appreciate the multiple email requests required to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization, and I highly recommend ordering from a site which does not charge such steep restocking fees(up to 20% in their terms and conditions) or any restocking fee, and also has free shipping returns which this site does not offer.
