Came here for lunch over the weekend. Had their bibimbap for $ 8. Make your order, they give you a number, and they have a display showing the order number when ready. Good system and handy if you want to pick up more food or a drink while you wait. Anyway along with the meal you also get your choice of three sides and miso soup or tea. The bibimbap comes in the stone bowl and an egg for authenticity. It was okay, not the best, but far from the worst too. I always love the sides with Korean food. The fried potatoes and kimchi are no exception to this. Overall a decent experience and great service. I wouldn’t come out of my way here because I absolutely hate parking at this mall when it’s busy. But if I find myself here and hungry, there’ll be a good chance I’ll be back!

Wait, authentic, delicious korean food in a food court?! Yes my friend. All this can be yours for under $ 10. Korean food is pricey in Van. Sometimes I don’t have the money to shell out $ 30 for korean food LOL. So I go here haha for some home cooked goodness. It’s not fancy, but its not trying to be. It’s decent homestyle korean food. No mindblowing flavours, but still comforting nonetheless!

decent food for korean during vancouver trip. place was down the street from our motel. it was a late dinner, and parking lot and food court were relatively empty. i thought it might be difficult to find, but it was close to entrance to the food court. place seemed to be amongst all chinese places, but i’m glad that they stay in business for koreans and people wanting to try korean food. place would probably be 3 stars in l.a., and it was a bit different from typical bibimbap, but i’m not sure there were alot of choices for cheap korean food in the area. worker friendly and gave suggestions on places to visit.

3.5 stars. After a long day of school and had just grocery shopped at Yaohan, the last thing on my mind is to go home and cook myself a decent meal. After weighing different options available to me at the food court, I’ve decided to venture Seoul Express for a hot bowl of «seafood tofu soup». While I waited I got myself 3 sides: kimchi(which was mediocre), fish cakes(same), and marinated potatoes(which was terribly bad — they were dry and wrinkly and they honestly shouldn’t be served). Not long after I waited my number was called. They gave me a big bowl of white rice which I said was too much. I asked for a smaller portion. I hate to see food goes to waste. The Korean lady was happy to comply. You know what the soup base wasn’t terrible! The soup was lacking in deep intense beef bone broth that’s been cooked for at least 6 – 8 hours. But hey, this is the food course, I don’t expect restaurant quality. Even though there wasn’t intensity in real bone flavor, they did, however, give you a good load of powdered MSG seafood base. I got one small shrimp and 4 – 5 shell-less clams. The soup was pipping hot when I picked it up. There were plenty of soft tofu and scrambled egg. The julienne carrots and onions weren’t cheaped out. This is an ideal pot because I am not too crazy about seafood so I loved the amount. For seafood lovers who are expecting a lot of seafood, you’re likely going to be disappointed. The Korean lady waited patiently for me to finish my meal so I can return the pot to her. As soon as they received the pot, they closed down for the night. I got what I wanted — hot tofu soup with minimal seafood. I am a happy camper.

Not sure why this place gets such rave reviews. I had the stone bowl bibimbap here, and it was just so-so. They don’t put that much rice or ingredients in it, and it’s not authentic korean food, although the staff are korean(I think?). I guess for food court food standards, it’s not bad for korean style food, and reasonable for $ 8.

Somehow I have never tried Korean food until now, strange considering I love all types of Asian food, but understandable considering I spent the last 11 years in Kelowna(not exactly a cultural hub). Anyways, thanks to the tips from Larry L and the others we decided to head out here in search of good and authentic Korean food. Obviously, I cannot comment on the authenticity but the food was fanastic. I completely intended to take a picture of the beautiful stone bowl of deliciousness I had, but alas I got too excited with the all the sizzling, smells and color combination of it all — and I ate it before I remembered to snap it… sorry, next time for sure! As others have said the hot stone bowl truly makes this dish, the rice gets so nice and crispy, it adds a whole new carmelized dimension to this delicious dish. I also enjoyed the sides that came with the Dolsot bibimbap, very unique both taste and texture wise, somehow they just work. This place is a fantastic value, tucked right in the YaoHan centre food court, to the right if you’re walking in the main doors from No.3 Road. Very friendly, helpful service — we will be back for sure. Thanks for the great find. Side note: Yaohan centre and the surrounding centres are a great place to browse for a few hours, we really enjoyed our outing here(via the Canada Line).

$ 7.90 dolsot bibimbap in a stone bowl at a food court. Unreal. The food is really good and the people working there are so friendly. Dolsot bibimbap was very good, came with three sides(your choice) and tea or miso soup. Rather hard to find unless you realize it is in the YaoHan shopping center. Hands down the best choice/value for food in the complex. Staff was great. Woman behind the counter helped us find a Korean BBQ buffet to indulge in since we were having trouble finding Korean restaurants in the otherwise Chinese area. I actually will go out and say this is a must try if in or around Richmond, BC.

Delicious Korean food in a food court! The staff are nice and friendly. I’ve spent many a lunch hour getting food here and often get a take-out bimbimbop, jap chae, or bulgogi. If you decide to eat in the food court, they serve the bibimbop in a stone bowl. How many Korean food court restaurants serve food in a stone bowl?!! So far this is the only one I’ve seen and I love it!

The best dolsot bimbimbap I’ve ever gotten in a food court! Yum!
