Great little phở restaurant for a quick bite to eat during lunch hour. Service is decent and food is fast. Cheap little place to get something to eat during lunch but otherwise nothing special. I had one bad experience here but it is understandable. Place was packed during lunch hour and I had to wait for 5 min without anyone bringing a menu or water/tea. Pros: Fast food, decent service Cons: Food is medicare at best, decoration is meh Recommend: Yes if you need to eat somewhere fast and cheap Tips: Don’t come during mon-fri lunch hour if you don’t want to wait

I work in the neighborhood and there’s not really any viet places nearby, phở japolo does a good job of fulfilling those cravings. I haven’t ever dined in and have only ordered takeout so I can’t speak to their service much. They serve the takeout phở piping hot so it still burns my tongue by the time I get back to my office(about 5 mins away), and that’s a good thing! The broth wasn’t as flavourful as some other phở joints in town but it’s not MSG city either. I’ve also ordered subs from here and the pork/ham one is great! Very well balanced so that it’s not overwhelmed by cilantro or carrots etc., they don’t toast the bread here but I’m guessing you can ask for it. I actually don’t like toasted bread that much as it just makes a mess so I’m okay with that. At $ 5 it’s about average but it’s a good alternative to all the fast food sandwich/burger joints in the area. The food isn’t exactly memorable but it’s pretty decent all around and it’s great to have a restaurant like Japolo in the neighborhood.

Came here for lunch because it’s close to my work. Parking can be a pain since they share the lot with Scotiabank which takes up most of the reserved spots. I had the small beef balls phở — good flavourful broth with a fair serving of balls :) We shared the spring rolls, they don’t have the extra crispy skin that I like but the filling is pretty tasty. For the area, it’s either here or Lotus(Lotus has more parking). I’d say they’re both on par, maybe with Phở Japolo inching slightly out in front because I find their broth is more«cleaner» tasting.

Came here for lunch today, wanted to try the other neighbouring phở options in the area. Ordered my usual phở tai. Broth was decent, but I found the edges of the meat rather tough. What was actually tougher was the piece of lime. Had to squeeze the life out of it to get some of its juicy goodness. Service is prompt, accepts credit card, and restaurant seems fairly big so finding space shouldn’t be too big of a problem. Only downside is that the parking lot could be better and not have so many spaces reserved for Scotiabank. Overall nothing superbly special, but satisfies my phở cravings and I haven’t gotten the runs. Might be back in the future to try some of the other dishes.

A nice little place, great service. When I eat phở I stick to the basics, I don’t do the tendon or tripe. The chicken phở was great and the spring rolls were ok. If I can’t make it to my «other«phở place in Vancouver, and my hangover is in immediate need of some phở, I’ll stop in here for sure.

I was surprised by the quality of the food. Pleasantly surprised rather. I ordered the grilled lemongrass chicken and rice. Delicious, moist, grilled properly. They also gave me a bowl of clear broth which was tasty. I asked for some extra sauce that comes with the meal and that wasn’t an issue. The price is actually on point for the food and portion. In surrey I would expect to pay the same or more for this same dish. I’m happy right now cuz I’m filling my belly with awesome goodness. I’ll definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Maybe the sammys? Or the Phở?

I decided to review this place because I come here for dinner quite often and it’s always dead. Maybe they cater more to the lunch crowd. It’s not the best phở in Vancouver/Richmond but it’s tasty and loaded. The staff is friendly. I come here because it’s conveniently located and open fairly late(till 9 p.m.) on week nights.

Best place in Richmond for phở! I always get the phở dac biet(it’s not on the menu, you have to ask for it). Getting a bit pricey though, esp. compared to Vancouver($ 8.35 to $ 9.45 a bowl!). Not always consistent with the broth, but few phở places are. Have to often ask for fish sauce(not on every table– scarce)

Been a regular here for a bit, mainly because its the only Phở restaurant around the Bridgeport area. Phở noodle soup is pretty standard, the rice and vermicelli dishes are large and filling. A little more expensive than your average vietnamese restaurant(especially the vietnamese subs) If you’re doing take out for a rice dish, ask them for the larger container of fish sauce that usually comes with vermicelli dishes. Overall, a decent choice if you’re stuck in the Richmond Bridgeport area.

I’d have to try it a second time just to make sure, but the wonton in egg noodle was pretty good. The broth was flavorful! The 3 roll combo I had was pretty good too, especially the grilled ‘ham’ one.

So far only ordered the iced coffee, highly recommended! Very coffee strong, and not too much condensed milk too. And the roasted chicken viet sub was also tasty too. Looking forward to trying the phở next time. One of the nicer, cleaner places and good service too.

Decided to come with my friend after Home Depot shopping. It was around 4pm and the place was quite. Pretty clean place. The server was very nice and told us about the special which was written on the board. We had the phở noodle soup with eye round steak, fatty brisket, soft tendon and beef tripe, Spicy phở noodle, beef shank, beef flank and pork ham, chicken wings and a mango smoothy. The regular soup was very tasty and lots of meat and i didn’t get thirsty after drinking the soup. Spicy phở was ok but i found the soup too sour. Chicken wings was not very good, not much taste and looks different from the picture on the menu, not recommended. Mango smoothy was the best! Nice, thick and rich. They uses fresh mango. Highly recommended. Will come to this place again to try out their rice items.
