Northern Chinese Countryside Restaurant

I don’t believe this is Shanxi noodles unless that Xi’an I went located on some other Earth.

Came here with family and I mean this kind of food is new to me. I have noticed people here tend to order a lot. I mean crazy a lot for just 2 people. One person went and ordered 5 dishes for himself. I was shocked. Yes my table ordered very little. The food is a bit oily. Portion small. Food was ok. I am not a big fan of northern chinese countryside food so probably won;t come back.
I find the flavor quite rich but it is a bit oily.
As well, I noticed most people in the restaurant are probably China born. So to them this kind of food is ok. For a CBC like me, the food tasted a bit awkward. Its hard to explain.
I did like the flat beans but the only issue was that i wish they were not that rip. It was a bit chewy.

We ordered 大盘鸡，川北凉粉，炸酱面，肥肠锅。the food was definetly good with big portions. The chicken came with some noodles inside And was very tasty.

We ordered two noodle items and one «chinese burger» for 3 people. The food was on the salty side and it was ok but the service was really bad. The lady was very impatient when I asked question and she got really mad when she was cleaning up the other table, she was complaining about the customers so loud that everyone who still eating can hear her. After hearing what she had to say, I told my husband and my son just hurry up, eat up and let’s get out there… We will never go back again!!!

We happened upon this place when the Aberdeen mall closed earlier than we thought. This place was out of this world fantastic. I have never had Chinese food this good. We didn’t know what to order so asked the waitress for her help. She chose 5 of the most delicious dishes we have ever eaten. It was a flavor fiesta!
It was very reasonable in price as well $ 10.00/ person.
Highly highly recommend!

I have eaten here three times. I loved the food from this restaurant. If it were only for the food I would give it 4 or 5 stars. The noodles served are freshly cut and the taste is very authentic to the food in Shanxi province. My issue would have to be with cleanliness. I have lived in China in the past and would be considered to have a pretty strong stomach, but all three times I ate there I came home to stomach cramps and a day or two of diarrhea. I feel sorry to post this, but I hope it serves as a little warning to other people with stomachs that are sensitive to cleanliness. My girlfriend and I have stopped eating here since.
