Although it’s not as bad as it sounds, compared to other rinks, which i would rather play in. It’s gloomy, not enough lighting unless you’re playing in the main rink where the Junior B Richmond Sockeyes are, & perhaps their dressing rooms are better, b/c the other one, used more for roller hockey seems like, totally suck. They have these pillars that arch near the ceiling so for a taller person 6′ feet, just have to be careful when getting up from the bench, & changing rooms are narrow to begin with too. Though it’s a big, free parking lot, the traffic does suck with the Minoru track, library, & pool so imagine how tough to find a spot. actually, 2 stars is just about right… Good, central location though.

I’ve been playing hockey here for years now. This is one of my favorite rinks. There’s two rinks here, the main one with the stands and the silver one(more of a practice one I guess). They are always very well maintained. The ice is usually nice and hard. The arena is quite clean and the ice men do a good job and are pretty cool, they usually give us extra ice time too. The only small complaint is the dressing rooms are pretty cold, but besides that a pretty good ice rink.

Home of the Terminal City Roller Girls Also an old haunt of mine from my days when I was involved in female lacrosse. Decent all around.

I went here to watch the Terminal City Roller Girls(roller derby). The last time I went to the Roller Derby it was at the PNE Forum, and Minoru Arena is a MUCH better venue for roller derby, in my opinion. You are close to the action and can see and hear everything easily. The concession stand was very reasonably priced(tons of kid friendly options like candy bags for $ 2). They also had a beer section with seating(always a good thing). Also, it is very easy to get here from the Canada Line.
