We switched from the medium– sized room to the large room. The sound effect is soooo much better in the large room. But it is still not satisfactory enough in terms of its song pool. Very limited song choice.

It was my first time on a karaōke here in vancouver but for me it was a cool place. I had no idea on how things worked and the people there were really polite and helpful. Next time i will try to go with more friends :)

We dropped in here since my regular Karaōke was closed for renovation. Located in a strip mall so parking is plentiful. They offer $ 12 all you can sing weekdays 2 – 7 + Minimum food for 2 people is $ 5 addition per room. Which means, you have to buy a drink or eat their food here. Everything is either $ 4.99 or $ 6.50. They charge hot water for $ 1.50 They provide you with one Wireless Microphone and there are 2 wired mics in the room. No cover was given so if you are a spitter, no idea if they clean afterwards. eek! Songs are hard to find as you can only search by the initial of the pinyin names of the Asian Singers. For English, Japanese, or Korean, there is a song book for you to punch in the number. However, the machine is old and all in Chinese. So if you need to change the key, pass the songs or move the song cues, if will be quite difficult. Can’t wait to go back to my other place for $ 10 for All You Can Sing and no extra room fees for drinks and food.

Awesome late night karaōke. The songs are decent I suppose… The best thing there are the amount of microphones they provide in each room! :)

TL;DR — Cheap price, vast song list, AMAZING service, good parking, yummy drinks *important note: flat rate of $ 10 in food and drinks(must order at least $ 10 in food/drinks OR pay $ 10) Me and my friends went here last Thursday for their all you can sing deal, which meant that it was only $ 12 per person. We came in right at 2 pm and karaoked till 7 pm, with our car parked outside the shop. Living in Richmond, I’d have to say this was one of the best deals we’ve encountered. It was our second time here. Last time we came was last year, and although service was virtually non-existence the first time, we returned because of the large database of songs(english, taiwanese, mandarin…). Anyways, we were really shocked at the change in service this time around. We got our room and were the first customers there. We were first greeted by a man who informed us that there was a $ 10 flat rate for food that took us by surprise. My boyfriend was afraid that the food would be bad, so we were all hesistant, and kind of on edge. However, when we got our rooms, the guy provided us service(which RARELY happens in an asian business place in Richmond and definitely not at a karaōke bar) and asked us if we knew how to use the machine. Then he explained very clearly what to do, and at one point during karaōke, he knocked, came in, and noticed we kept having interference and immediately fixed the issue. He was polite, very nice and extremely helpful. Perhaps he was the owner? Side things: drinks were good(everything ranges about $ 5-$ 6, big food menu), washrooms very clean, and once again they had a large database of songs. When we were paying, the man was really patient with us, and we all had a very good time there. I’m hoping next time will be the same experience!

k-fever has all the most updated English and Japanese songs compared to any other karaokes in the city. The touch screen operating system is very user friendly and you can always switch between different languages operating templates. My friends and I usually come to spend the night on weekdays as there’s less people and order their meals while we sing. Their food and drinks are pretty decent and are at reasonable price. There’s always something on special every month. The waitresses are very friendly and when u request for service, they attend to u in no time.

Seven of us walked in expecting a good hour or two of singing last night. There was a huge screen in the lobby area, with purple armchairs. it was some sort of karaōke room in itself. A bit loud and annoying. Anyway, some of us had heard this place was good, but boy were we mistaken. We thought prices would be cheaper here than downtown Vancouver, but it’s actually more expensive, plus they don’t give you any extra time like some Korean-run karaōke places. They told us we had to go in a «VIP room» because the large room was taken and we were too big of a group to go in a smaller room(for 4 – 6 people). The VIP room is nothing special, it looks the same as the other rooms, but it’s more expensive. First of all, the mics wouldn’t turn on for the first 10 minutes, plus we couldn’t figure out how to look for any songs. The mics also had awful feedback problems. My poor eardrums. All their Korean song titles are in Chinese, so we couldn’t find many good Korean songs(why call the place«kmix» if all the song titles are in Chinese anyway? Misleading). The English songs were hard to find too(their system. was weird. You have to find songs by their initials?! Like, «ily» for songs called«I Love You»? I tried flipping through their books, thinking that maybe old-fashioned printed stuff would be easier to find songs in. but nope, because they were organized by release year! Who the hell memorizes all those years? The years only go back to 2007 anyway, so I couldn’t find the song I wanted. There were Japanese and Korean songs all mixed up in there anyway, so it was really difficult. When we asked for the first 10 minutes to not be counted in our bill(which came out $ 70-something.for 1.5 hours…), the dude tried to argue that the mics were only turned off for the first 3 or 4 minutes. Seriously? We had maybe two songs that everyone could sing along to, and there was so much feedback that it was definitely not a good experience. He knew we had had a lot of trouble cuz we had to keep calling him in to fix stuff. Anyway, he took it off, but he wasn’t happy about it. We quickly paid and made our exit, but I nearly choked on a wave of cigarette smoke when the door opened because there were two smoking twits immediately outside the doors. Is there no rule that says you can’t smoke so close to the entrance to a building? Good grief. A bad end to a bad evening.

Since we were in Richmond already, we decided to come here on a Saturday afternoon. We got there right when they opened(1PM), so we got set up in a room right away. We had never been here before, so it took us a while to figure out how to select songs, etc. The place seems fairly new, and the machines are decent. Unfortunately, the menus on the screen are all in Chinese, so I had to get some help from my girlfriend. They have their new songs listed in a book for you, but it was organized by release date, so it was a little hard to find songs. The English song selection is not that great, though. I believe that they charge 15.00 per person for all you can sing during the day, but since we only wanted to stay there for an hour, we opted for the per room charge(20.00 per hour). Overall, it is not a bad place to go for karaōke. Now that we are more familiar with the setup, we would come back for the all you can sing deal if we are in the area.

K-Fever is one of those staples for those of Asian descent. Yes, they like boxing themselves into a room and pretending to be rock stars while staring at a bunch of music videos and eating snacks and drinking bubble tea. Parking is ample in the strip mall. You may have to walk a little bit if the area immediately in front is full. The place is a little old for sure, but it doesn’t make you want to run out screaming. The main foyer has several couches and a TV screen so you can request and sing some karaōke while waiting for a room. This is a really nice touch. As for the rooms, there is 1 large room that can fit some 18 people; everything else is more like 4 – 15. They have many of the newer songs in the menu, which is also nice. However, the equipment is a little beaten up. Sometimes our audio would be replaced by a signal from an adjacent room. Also, the touchscreen system is 100% Chinese, so I hope you either know how to read or have an token FOB in your group. The drinks and snacks here are actually quite tasty. You wouldn’t think that such a ghetto-looking place would deliver in this respect but they do. Washrooms aren’t the world’s cleanest, but fortunately the floors aren’t sticky. On Tuesdays, singing is 50% off. It’s a pretty awesome deal. Also, between 1300 – 1800 on certain days it’s $ 11 allyoucansing. Something to keep in mind if you want to save a few bucks.

Unilocalers, I dragged my car-less ass all the way to K-Fever after a friend of mine recommended it. If you are near the Canada Line, the trek isn’t too bad. Once you get off at Aberdeen Station, it’s about a 7 minute walk in sprawling suburbia to K-Fever. Upon entering the place, my group of 10 was pleasantly surprised. The room we were given was huge, very clean and modern. The karaōke system was super hi-tech and very easy to operate, a welcome departure from paper catalogues. And then the staff told us they were not licensed. Silence and confusion ensued. How do you have a karaōke party without booze?!! Needless to say we sprinted out of there to the nearest bar, which unfortunately was a 25-minute train ride away… (For those wondering about music selection, if you’re strictly anglo there’s next to nothing there for you).
