Don’t come here for Ni-Cha served it me cold. I ask for hot one they would reheat in microwave. POOR Service!

The first time I had their egg waffle it was perfectly cooked and crispy. However, the second and third time I ordered their egg waffle, it was soggy and not crispy. So… their egg waffles are definitely not consistent… sigh… Their milk teas and creama teas are not the greatest… not my favorite… I’ve had better!

I decided to change things up a bit from my traditional bubble tea fair with pearls to coconut jelly. Not a lot of places outside Richmond offer pearl alternatives, however, this place does. I have been hearing so much about their coconut jelly that I decided to include it in my mango bubble tea which turned out to be a good combo. They have decent bubble waffles. Prices are okay and the service was fast.

I tried the mango, red bean and black sesame 3 in 1 bubble waffle. Wowed by the strong mango flavor, tried the strawberry, matcha, peanut and coconut as well. Strawberry and mango are my favorite. Sister likes every one since she dislikes many flavors from Seattle Chinatown. I never had any from Seattle. These are best tasted while they are served; doughy and not crunchy overnight. Sister microwaved 10 sec to keep inside soft.

I ordered a house special bubble tea. They didn’t have pearls when I went, so they used coconut jelly. I actually prefer coconut jelly. It was sweet and juicy, a nice change from pearls. However, it’s more expensive than Fresh Elements House Special Bubble Tea, so I probably wouldn’t come here again. As for service, pretty much nonexistent. I was questioned by the manager for snapping a photo of their bubble waffle menu board.

Juice King is located in Yaohan plaza. My sister really wanted to order a HK egg waffle from here for brunch. It was $ 2.99, which is a lot cheaper than Bubble Waffle’s $ 3.95 for one. I was also going to buy a tapioca milk tea from here, but it was $ 2.99 for one, whereas Fresh Element had a BOGO free for $ 3.99. Needless to say, that egg waffle from Juice King was not worth the money at all. Hands down, it was the worst egg waffle my family has ever tried. The inside of the waffle tasted like it wasn’t cooked all the way through, and when chewing it, had some dough-y taste. It wasn’t crispy on the edges, either. I think we were the first order for them that day, so they had to fire up their waffle machine(which is powered by electricity and not gas like Bubble Waffle’s). Perhaps that’s why the waffle was less than decent. Would recommend people not to order the bubble waffles from here, but to head over to Aberdeen’s Bubble Waffle instead.

my fav drink is their red bean, ice cream creamy bbt/combo, but without the pearls — it’s hard to describe, pretty refreshing esp. on a hot day but for me, i can drink this anytime, it’s not too sweet by my books… and my excuse is that it’s somewhat healthy lol. probably some type of whipping cream too. located in yahoan centre. awesome to sip on while doing grocery-shopping. try it, u’ll be happy ;)
