This place is now called Super Star Café. The new crew of staff there is horrible. Asked for 2 glasses of tea and 2 glasses of water. They questioned us the reason. Then the tea tasted bleach. Waited for a long time for service. I used to like this place but this experience totally turned me off. I don’t think we will be back. I asked for the bill and it took 20 mins to come. The café was only my half full. Food was only ok.

Bad restaurant! 1. We ordered two meals with soups. The soups hadn’t come until I asked for them. 2. The waitress was cleaning the floor when we were Eating! She is not afraid of the dust will get to our dishes at all! 3. The lamb I ordered is full of the taste of the fridge. I can’t imagine how long it has been frozen in the fridge. The soups taste strange. The almond drink tastes too light, I don’t know how much water they add in it.

Had the steak and fish combo not bad. The waitress could have been more attentive and I don’t think wearing a mini skirt is appropriate at any restaurant. The entrance was confusing and as soon as you go in you are greeted by a small Buddhist temple God for bad individuals… Just saying!

This place is surprisingly not as popular as I would’ve thought. Hollywood Steak House is tucked away in a small complex just off of Leslie Road(behind Wendy’s off No. 3 Road). For Hong Kong cuisine(incase you guys read any of my other reviews, I eat at quite a few of those), it’s got a pretty wide selection of choices(but I tend to stick to the same choices, as any typical Hong Kongian would do: P). From the past few times I’ve been here, I’ve enjoyed their food quite a bit and would recommend them over most food court selections in Aberdeen Centre or Parker Place. They’re also better than many of the Hong Kong locations along the Alexandra Road estate(for example Silver Tower). Service is generally good and I don’t remember any servers being rude or unresponsive. Parking is usually plentiful just because they aren’t a popular location. I’ve brought a few Richmond friends here and none of them even knew the restaurant existed. But don’t let their popularity fool you, if you’re into Hong Kong cuisine, give them a shot!

I think I could have rated the restaurant a bit higher since the food was not bad. The baked pork chop on rice, one of most signature dishes of all Hong Kong style cafes, was delicious, although it was a little small for being over 10 dollars. What cost the extra rating was the drink, the glass of iced lemon coke. Worse glass of iced lemon cola ever. ‘Yuck, it is probably president’s choice cola’, I spilled it out. I didn’t think I remembered how president’s choice cola tasted like any more. But this glass of cola just reminded me how bad PC cola was if that makes any sense to you. How do you feel if you have to wash down fresh oyster topped with caviar with some Baby Duck bubbles. Errr… What a shame… It could have been a much better meal.

Decent HK-style café located a bit away from Alexandra Road. Parking is available in the lot around the building. As the name suggests, the theme is Hollywood — around the 1990s. I laughed at the cutout of Arnie by the front entrance. Copyright police here would have a field day here, as I didn’t know Betty Boop and Mickey had licensing agreements with this place. The food is a bit pricier than other similar HK-style establishments, at some $ 9 – 12 per dish. The quality is quite decent though, though my friend complained that the fettuccine alfredo was a bit bland. I’d rather have it this way(some salt can easily fix this) than the other way around. I’ll definitely be back again at some point.

It is a modern HK style café and the prices are cheaper than most of the other cafes. However, the service was slow and food was awful! I ordered a set menu — steak combo, the pork chop as thin as a paper and the chicken steak was tasteless! My hubby had curry chicken rice, it was creamy and a lot of coconut milk with chicken.

I agree, environment is quite nice and clean. However, the most important thing: food, is disappointing. Considering their price is in average or even a bit higher than average, but food portion is relatively small in size. Moreover, variety is not as much as many other relevant restaurants. And most importantly, taste is just so so and not impressed.

A HK style café, with a Hollywood theme! This is one of the cleanest HK cafes I’ve been to. The décor is modern, with dark walls, and two large TVs which play Chinese movies and shows. It’s a nice open space, and windows line the restaurant. This is located behind the Wendy’s on No.3 Road, and there’s parking lot for it, so there’s no fuss in looking for parking. We frequent this place for our weekday lunches because of its consistently good food and efficient and good service. They have daily specials that come with a drink. Their menu has a large selection. Sorted into Western dishes, and Chinese dishes, as well as «Choose your own combos.» They have your standard baked seafood rice, pork chop on rice, as well as their own specials such as the baked spinach and cod on rice, baked garlic chicken on rice. Also try out their Thai style chicken fried rice-loaded with large pieces of chicken, onion, green and red peppers, this is delicious. You can’t go wrong with this one. Also, their fried beef with rice noodles is also good. Portions are large, and all dishes include a hot drink.(Cold drinks are an extra $ 1.00.) Food arrives quickly, and is always cooked to order. Their cold milk tea is still one of the best I’ve had, and they made it right everytime-creamy smooth, just the perfect blend of tea and milk.(I’m really picky about my milk tea.) Come here to try out the milk tea, or to enjoy their food!
