Restaurant is more spacious than Burnaby location. Service is timely. The food is always served piping hot in their metal bowls so be careful not to touch it. You can choose from a variety of carbs to have in your pot such as bean thread, rice cake or udon noodles. There are more choices of flavors at this location compared to the Burnaby one and the pots are wider. However the portions are not larger. Food came quickly but pots shown on menu photos do not represent the food that you will get. For example we ordered the seafood & tofu pot, fish soup pot and the curry pot. Although the picture for the seafood pot looks abundant it does not actually come with prawns or clams or corn as shown in the picture. Same goes for the fish pot and curry pot. When asked the chef stated that they have 10 items in each pot and the pictures are just for show. I counted only 8 items and suggested he update his menu to be more accurate. However he stated that he would raise his prices if he were to do that. I think that it is great that he has pictures to show people what the pot includes, however it is very misleading because the pictures do not represent what you are going to get. So if you order a pot with prawns don’t be surprise if you don’t get any in your pot. As for taste, the pots were quite flavorful. However if you don’t like MSG avoid the curry pot. The fish pot was not fishy tasting and it was rich in flavor. They have a lot of variety at this location. However ask before you order if you want certain items in you pot but also ask if you will be charged extra. They have a whole section for add ons.

This is the worst hotpot possible in Vancouver. It is cheap, but that is the only pro. Since all sorts of food you only get 1 piece each, you probably won’t think it’s worth it. There was one time that I asked them not to put MSG, they said they don’t, but a friend of my mom’s worked here and said they put lots…

The second branch, from the one I am used to going to at Crystal Mall. Needed some food, and decided to come into this plaza with the abundance of food selections, and just decided to come in here. The same place as the one in Burnaby, except a way better seating arrangement. You do not feel cramped, and there is no excessive line up at the door compared to the other one, but the food quality, and price is still the same. Known for their individual tofu hot pot dishes, this can be a filling meal, each individual serving. The menu is not that big, with the only about over 10 main dishes for the whole day, and some side plates. An assortment of kimchi and seafood style hot pots. They also have multiple rice dishes, including chicken steak, and pork cutlets as well. Nothing is over $ 10 here, and if your looking for a cheap meal, this, with many in Richmond is one of the places to go. If you order the non-hot-pot meals, you also get a bowl of soup.
