I’d recommend this store to anyone looking for Filipino items. The food supply is ample and follows FDA approved products. They don’t carry meat from the Philippines. why? because Philippine meat canned goods are no longer acceptable in Canada because of certain contamination. This place will sell meat products made from USA or other countries. When it comes to other Filipino products, their prices are reasonable. There is a lot of honesty. Their goods have tag price and you know exactly how much you’ll pay when you get to the till. The store is clean, organized and well maintained. If you’re looking for clean, FDA approved Filipino products, here’s the place. Don’t trust other stores who claim they are cheap. When you get to the till, you’ll pay an arm and leg. The people managing the store also looked neat and well groomed. They have great customer service.

This is a small grocery store, everything is organized. I was actually recommended this place by a fellow Unilocaler who suggested this as a cheap place to get some nut based flours for gluten free baking. Prices here are very reasonable. It is a bit of a trek for me to get out here, therefore, make sure that I have at least more than one item on my list.

solid 3.5 stars if you’ve got a pandesal craving and not too picky about being right out of an oven. In fact, they’re from Aling Mary’s! even better, they make the best and simple buns. Save ya a trip from Vancouver. Located behind the Shoppers Drug Mart plaza by Cambie/No.5 road. Free parking.

These days, most Filipino groceries can be found at T&T or other Asian/Ethnic supermarkets. I stumbled upon Edsa Mart by accident and was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of harder-to-find Filipino specialty groceries(hence, the name, I suppose!). Samples: — Frozen turonitas(frozen mini-banana spring rolls); — Frozen Philippine brand mango chunks; — Frozen yema(Philippine custard candies) Don’t worry they have more than frozen items!
