A strong potential to be a 4 star, if only they accepted credit cards. Mostly a hot serve place where u line up and tell them what you want. This Filipino delight has this crispy boneless fish called Milk Fish, deleesh seasoning. The squid is also good too. Nice to bring a Filipino who knows what to order. Also authentic snacks, chips etc on the right wall. friendly service. About 6 tables, a bit too dimmed. Crazy parking issues, busy plaza.

I was craving for dinuguan for 2 days now so I eagerly went to Cucina Manila for this. I ordered a combo: palabok, dinuguan and a soft drink which came up to over $ 11.00 I joined a lady who was sitting alone at a table. As I sat down, she complaint to me she only got 1 shrimp in her pinakbet. Then as I started to eat my dinuguan, I noticed that each spoonbul were pieces of fat. The more I dug into the bowl of dinuguan, more pieces of fat. It was so disgusting to see them. So I spooned out all the contents of the dinuguan and placed them on my plate. They covered 1⁄3 of my plate. I lost my appetite and asked one of the staff who cooked the dinuguan. She asked why? I said their dinuguan was full of fats. She then answered: it is a pig. I was flabbergasted with her answer. Does she mean a pig is one big fat? I sat there and simmered for a while. Another customer passed by my table and looked at my plate and she shuddered as she looked at me. I couldn’t continue eating as I had lost my appetite by then so with the plate, I approached another staff and asked if she can replaced it. She did and said it was too bad I had all the fats. I did not hear any apology from anyone after I made my first query nor did anyone stop eating their lunch to help me out. I should not have to asked for a replacement. They should have apologized right away and offered to replace it. This is the correct customer service especially in an eatery joint. I was going to give them 1 star but because one of the staff replaced it after I spoke out, I am giving them a 2 star..

We took my parents down there after we picked them up from the airport. They didnt eat on the plane and it was the closest filipino restaurant i could think of. Food was decent… i wasnt wowed or anything, it was alright. If i wanted to fill my filipino fix… i wouldnt mind coming back here. My dad enjoyed his food and my mom thought her«laing» had too much fat & was mostly soup.

Buffet-style, good for lunch and takeout, food is a bit on the salty side(but I’m biased because I have high blood pressure).

Try the Caldereta! its pretty much the only thing i order in this place. sweet savory and deeelishous! almost as good as mine ;) other than that, this place is ok. typical Filipino food for the typical Filipino. i always have a saying. why would i buy filipino cusine when i could just cook it at home. a simple answer to that is i get extremely lazy after a long day in a hotel kitchen! the last thing i wanna do is cook. so what do i do? i come here because the Canada Line stops right by it. other great places to get great island cuisine is pin pin or ong pin.(see past reviews) so the next time u feel like putting the«lazy song» on repeat, consider these great(but not as good as mine) eats ;)

My first experience with Filipino fare, and I love it! My coworkers brought me here to show me what this awesome cuisine is all about. You order everything up front, and then seat at the many table available. They have a combo where you choose 2 items plus rice. All the different dishes are presented on a heated table, but there are no names or signs to tell you what they are. With the help of my coworkers, I got a eggplant dish, as well as another dish with ox tail bone. They were both in this sweet curry type sauce, an excellent accompaniment to the rice. There was a lot of food. For dessert, I got the turon, which was a fried banana with a jackfruit filling, and a spring roll outer shell. It was soo good! They also have a small selection of other desserts as well as Goldilocks bakery items. Dine in or take out, this is a cuisine that I’m wanting to try more of! Coming back to try the other dishes soon!

This is a great place to go for authentic home style filipino cooking. The food is a bit on the pricier side, but well worth it. The place is clean and nice looking with lots of space to seat down. There is lots of free parking and the staff is friendly. My favorite was the turon(fried banana) which was only $ 1.00. Yum !!!
