Update TV & Stereo Sales

This place has most up to date upscale equipment for less than market price.
Feels like pressurized sales, but a great deal guaranteed !! and always a fair deal.

BEWARE OF SCAM ARTISTS AND PRESSURE SALES!
I first visited Update Tv & Stereo 2 months ago just to begin looking at TVs. I wasn’t ready to purchase one that day just began doing my research for the right TV.
These guys seems really friendly but Immediately start trying to pressure you into making a impulse buy and try to impress you by their higher end TVs complete with a top end sound system. I was in there looking for a lower to mid-​level plasma or LED TV and they were trying to push much more expensive 4K sets on me. I kind of had some fun with them as it was all kind of insane, no way I was dropping 10k plus but if they want to waste their time showing me their high end stuff then go ahead I had time to kill and wasn’t buying today. They did however recommend one set for me that was in my price range and told my it was the best all-​around set for the money… of course they tried to convince me to get the 60 inch rather than the 50 that I could afford.
My 2^nd visit came a couple days ago. I was finally ready to buy. And I knew exactly what TV I wanted the same TV that they had recommended to me earlier but the 50 inch not the 60. Sadly It was quite a popular set and was sold out at Best Buy and future shop. I had called another small store who had it but I had to come by tomorrow as it the girl was there alone and the set was in there warehouse and she had nobody to go get it for her.
So I decided to give Update TV another shot as I really wanted to grab this set today. I checked their website and it said they had the TV. So I headed In and asked for it. I was told that it’s been sold out since August (Lie #1 because they had it when i was there 2 months ago but whatever) Then they claimed it had been sold out everywhere since then and the set is discontinued. (lie #2 while it was sold out in a lot of places it was still available in more than a few places… and not discontinued until march)
Next I was asked why I wanted it and how I was going to use it. I told them I wanted it because it was the best all-​around TV for the price (something they told me 2 months earlier and read on Cnet and other online reviews) Then he told me nope it’s really not that good. he said it’s only really good for movies but sucked for Sports, games and regular TV viewing. (lie #3 even went against what this same guy told me 2 months earlier).
He then showed me another TV set that wasn’t even made by the same company as the one I was looking for. He pointed out all this Tvs flaws and told me that the TV I was looking at had the same flaws. (lie #4 and this one was big because I have seen this TV and it doesn’t have any of these problems. In fact I personally think the TV he showed me was rigged because no TV I have ever seen had such insanely bad jutter effect. It was really over the top Who the hell would buy that crap)
I was ready to leave but they turned up the pressure his buddy joined the party and tried to convince me I needed a bigger set. I explained that while It would be really nice to have a 65 inch set I couldn’t afford one so I wasn’t buying one. that didn’t stop them again they tried to show off their nice 65 inch 4K TV and tried to tell me that I NEEDED this size. the two of them double teamed me and threw all sorts of bull shit my way in a effort to overwhelm me and confuse me.
finally I said boys thanks for taking the time but I know what i want and can’t afford what your offering me. I told them I could get the TV I was looking at, at this other store and I gave them the name of that store. They then told me that that store doesn’t have it (lie #4) and that they get all their inventory from them (lie #5) he explained that they only told me to come back tomorrow because they didn’t have it and where calling around for it and would probably call them (lie #6) then they said that they just want me to come into the store so they can pressure me into buying something else. (lie #7). I then laughed and said that’s EXACTLY what you guys are doing right now! they tried to scramble and feed me more B.S. but I had had enough and walked out.
The next day I went to the other store. They said It was still in there warehouse but If I can wait 10 mins they would send a driver to go get it. 10 mins later I had my set. I mentioned Update TV and Stereo to them and asked if they dealt with them. The guys said no. I asked do you sometimes get stock from them as they claim. They laughed and said no.
So Stay away from Update TV and Stereo. these guys don’t give a damn about what you want, what you need or what you can afford. they just want you to buy from them. Pressure sales and Bullshit Is all you will get from them.
Also one last note I ended up getting my set for $ 200 less then Update had it listed for on their site so looks like it all worked out.
