Golden Bill Trading Inc, also known as Shing Hing Food, is the local supplier for Uncle Bill products, one of the most famous brands for Chinese herbs and dried food products (e.g: ginseng). They have a few branches in the GTA; this one is for the one in Richmond Hill at Golden Plaza.
In general this place provides a good beginner’s experience on Chinese herbs and the variety that’s available. Uncle Bill is a trusted brand amongst Chinese experts, so you know the value is there. The prices are a little higher than your non-​chained places though, but you do have to know how to bargain to get the lower prices.
The employees here really try to oversell their products to you, so do keep that in mind. Don’t be pressured to purchase everything they tell you, but it’s good to know what the store offers for your future visits.
