Not what I expected for a Chinese buffet reading previous reviews. Food poor quality with salmon over cooked and fishy smelling. Has a lot of over cooked stir fry veggie dishes, fried rice 3 different types, and dried up stir fry noodles. Would not go back again.

Massive Asian buffet«Quebec style» in a clean open restaurant. Taking a glance around the room it was a busy night as it looked to be a popular place! Also looking around the room there appeared to be a good amount of people who had full plates and large waistlines. This is fairly typical for a popular buffet house. Beware! Usually you over eat into food coma at these types of joints! Selection of food was quite large, mostly Asian with some Quebec accents(Macaroni chinois is something I have never seen in any other province outside of Quebec!). It may have been invented for Samuel De Champlain or General Montcalm back in the day to introduce variety! Back to the food… again, mostly Asian, mostly fried! There was some interesting non regular buffet dishes(frogs legs… definitely a french touch)! Pizza and even a salad bar that looked like they don’t need to refill(at all!!) all night! Also was a decent dessert section of cookies, cake and even 4 types of ice cream. For just over $ 20 it’s pretty good value! I was a good boy and filled my plate with a few kinds of noodles, a good serving of broccoli and a few fried items(chicken drumettes, fried shrimp, fried spring roll, fried shrimp). I went back for a second small serving of again some more noodles, chicken and then a small bowl of ice cream. The game plan for me is to not go too crazy! Especially later in the night! If you go crazy on the fried food my warning ***** may be you may not sleep well, or maybe you may be the kind that it does not affect your stomach! Decent value but don’t go in there with huge expectations as you may be pleasantly disappointed!

Awesome! Very tasty and an amazing selection of buffet items. Even though we ordered buffet, the waitress still came around to see how we were doing! The bar menu was reasonable. I would definitely go again if I was around that way.

An absolutely awesome restaurant, recommended without doubts! Menu is an interesting mix of custom Asian and French cuisine, and everything we tried there was simply delicious. Keeping in mind that my wife strongly dislikes checking out the new things, and I am very picky about both quality and quantity of the food served, I would say that keeping us both happy is a huge feat — but this restaurant proved to be up to the challenge. We tried buffet and separate plates, both resulted to be first-class. Ambient is cozy, friendly and very relaxed. Sort of like a bunch of friends on a BBQ. People inside were a mix of tourists and locals, so no one felt discriminated. The only thing I thought I should have done, but didn’t, was trying the frog legs. My love said it will mean no kisses till I get my mouth washed, and even the stories about me eating snakes and other dead animals did not help — I had to back up on that. What a pity. Should have been yummy and abundant, simply because everything else was. :-) Our server spoke English«just a little bit», and did not spoke Russian or Spanish at all — strange! So we had to work around going through the menu with lots of body language involved, and it actually helped. The most important word in use was a smile, so overall experience resulted to be very positive and friendly. If you’ll ever be by Champigny, please do yourself a favour — check out this place!
