I had a wonderful prawn bisque that had a nice, spicy kick, and a lovely beet, goat cheese and arugula salad. I could not be happier with either. The server was attentive but left us alone just the right amount. The prices were more than reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

great service. we were a group of 8 people with a few with very weird dietary restrictions. the waitress check with everyone then re checked with the chef came back offered suitable replacement and made everyone a happy camper. good bc wine list well priced. not the best beer selection. mainly commercial beers. great deck. handy location to the ferry terminal and marinas. everyones consensus on the food was it was average canadian pub/dinner food. nothing special nothing bad. most plates were empty at the end so i guess that was a good sign. I would go back maybe just for a beer and a snack or to share something mainly for the deck and view and the good service. Defiantly not a destination restaurant. but way better than your options in lund.

This review is based on the food and it was delicious. I had a Caesar salad and the cilantro pesto fettuccine. The salad was quite good but the fettuccine was outstanding! The service was quite slow as there was one server for the entire restaurant, she was quite friendly but slow. I would come back for this pasta dish again with no hesitation.

Delicious roasted beet salad and great meal over all! Went with three children and a baby and the server was very friendly and conscientious. Everyone was happy with their food and had a nice experience.

8pm is just too early for a good bistro to close, but then considering the way Marine is ignored by the rest of Powell River, I can’t blame them. Nice room, great patio, only complaint is that you can’t sit at the bar(I like to do that if I’m alone, gives me someone to talk to). As for the food, it’s terrific. Fresh, local, and tasty. The maple glazed steelhead salmon was not too sweet but let the very subtle flavour of the steelhead come through. The«vegetable medly» was not as feared some frozen deal but actual local red cabbage, glazed carrots, and stewed squash, each of which was perfectly seasoned and well prepared. The wine list is thoughtful and well balanced, but as a lot of the clientele have to be tourists I’d have liked to see a jingoistic all-BC wine list. Oh well. I guess I get to dictate that when I have my own restaurant, eh?

Recently took visiting company to my favourite dining spot. Our meals were horrible I ordered New York strip with 3 peppercorn sauce my steak was well done not med rare, the sauce was impossible to consume due to the spicy ness very very hot. I sent my dinner back my husband ordered pork cutlet with pepper sauce, it was a frozen over cooked cutlet again with extremely hot sauce. No bread with meals liquor not opened my sistered ordered a Caesar beverage and the waitress asked did she want small or large she thought we were ordering salad. The waitress did not look old enough to be serving liquor! Will not return the original owner sold in Dec and the food does not compare in quality to what we are accustomed to.

Great restaurant with a sizeable back patio, allowing great views of the Vancouver Island mountains while sitting in a sunbeam with your local pint. Food exceeded our expectations; ingredients were very fresh and the menu variety offers something for everyone. Lamb burger was a really nice change from the usual and came with an awesome black bean soup that would have been a meal to itself.(I want that recipe!!).

We came up from Vancouver and needed a place to eat before a 3 day camping trip. While driving down to Lund, this sign caught my eye When I went in there we were welcomed by the staff who found my friend and I a seat really quickly. He ordered the salmon ciabatta while I ordered the froggy sandwich. Best. Sandwich. Ever. Every time i go down to Powell River, i make an effort to visit this place.

Really nice restaurant which is walking distance from my home. We generally take our out of town guests here and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and the food consistently good. I recommend this restaurant!
