They’ve been brewing for a while and selling to licencees, but just recently opened their doors to the public. I saw on Twitter that they were open last Saturday from 1pm to 5pm, which will now be their public hours of business. They are a very small, «prohibition inspired» brewery. At this time there is actually no signage indicating exactly where they are at 14 Waller Street, which adds to the whole prohibition feel. :) I won’t spoil that for them by saying how to get in, but you shouldn’t have any trouble. When we walked in we were greeted by the owner’s sister, while the owner and a few other guys were busy in the background brewing beer. There’s an old-fashioned bar to sit at for tasting, and you can see six fermenters along the side wall, wrapped in wood cladding. «Prohibition inspired» indeed! We tasted the three beers they had available that day: Bootleg Blonde, Moonlight Porter, and the seasonal Hefeweizen. They were all amazing craft beers. We chatted with the owner’s sister and the owner popped over a few times to chat and ask how we were enjoying the beer. It turns out that this is just a part-time job/hobby of his. He has a full-time day job and he takes care of the brewery after work and on weekends. Before leaving we purchased two 750ml grumblers of the blonde and hefeweizen to go. If you love craft beers, definitely pay them a visit.
